Just a dance? We could have a trick-or-treat thing... We could break the common room rules and let people go to the other teams dorms. They could give sweets to each other. Or we could lay traps for everyone and let them roam around at night in pairs of 3 like in Ouran High School Acadamy.

Or maybe each house has an affixed element and they have to decorate they're houses as that element. And the students dress up as different creatures that correspond to that element like air would be fairies and other flying creatures. Shtuff like that.

Ooh, how about this: Each house has a night each (A week really) to unleash hell onto the castle and scare the other students that are allowed up and about that night. (If you're bad, teachers can ban you)
