wizard is talking " so, apparently I am thinking today...
not a good thing for me because now I can't stop....
but what if to help with advertising, the thread does like a game show or something
like, a version of 'who wants to be a millionaire' or something
we can manipulate prizes to be smaller amounts of gold or free art/services (that way we don't have to spend a great deal of money on it)
it could generate some interest, and it could be done regularly, like every month or so....
it will give people a chance to interact with the guild a little, and get a feel for some of the members when we have to go through selection process to pick the player(s)
i dunnno... just a thought i decided to share out loud...
it could be a terrible, terrible idea
oh, and we could have questions based on the ball and the site and members and such so it's harder to cheat

I like this idea! It could fit well with either Moo's casual RP/information thread or it could be done during the Host Club events.

because i was already starting to plan prizes and a tinychat and such in my head
(it's so beautiful in my head... >u< )

There's a special subforum in the forum just for things like this, and I know that people have swarmed the ones I've been to before. So, this probably has a pretty good shot of success. biggrin

I'm going to pop in here and say that this is great idea! <3
Gold is pretty much what will attract the Gaians. If it's mainly a RP event, we may not get so much attention. If you would like, the host clubs could affiliate these events if we're doing them at the same time, to attract people to both. That's assuming we have a decent amount of people RPing in the host clubs.
And another thought, since many people will be attracted to things like this, I was thinking you could affiliate all Annual Ball events going on at the same time. Like the art auctions, shops and host clubs for example. People may not be as interested, but some may and it's worth a shot, right?
I'm sure this idea will work, if you decide to use it! ^^

Yup! Thats exactly what was on my mind. Start a networking system, you know?
I have a buddy who used to do this stuff all the time. We are brainstorming now.
