There is a certain amount of territory, in this brave world of Okalani, where exists my particular favourite family of wolves. This life (and the Goddesses) have been good to Beau and his collective family- though he has a different opinion, the little ingrate. Always hungry, always searching for more of everything.

This thread is their territory.... but you are cordially invited to come play if you so desire...

Keep sharp your claws, your ears, and your eyes in this place;
For we know no mercy.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 21, 2012 8:29 pm

For all the ferocity of the opening post, anyone is welcome here, and there is plenty of personality in this space and it isn't all bad. Here you may find any of this particular family to rp with. If you come in search of a particular wolf please say so, I'll shove them forward. If you come in search of a particular kind of interaction, please say so, and we'll see what we can do. I myself will delight in any sort of rp in which I have full reign to play my crazy, sometimes creepy, and always very ridiculous little family.

There are of course godmod laws in place. We will not harm your wolf in any way you have not agreed to. There is etiquette- we will not turn you away because you don't have long enough or the 'right kind' of responses.

That being said. Please be realistic. This is an admittedly viscous area assumed to be dangerous, with a full pack's strength should the wolves in question decide you need removing or to be taught a lesson. Do not go specifically to butt heads with these wolves, cloaking yourself only in the godmod rule as armour against a pack of fully grown, weapon-wielding, pain tolerant monsters, k?

Not trying to discourage any legitimate rp, just don't want any little mini-troll episodes popping up.

We're seeking potential mates, lovers, friends, enemies, victims, adopted family. Everything. I would like to see this family being super awesome, more realistic even with each one of their flaws. I would like to see you as a part of it.

Any Beau family members that belong to anyone other than myself that wants to stage rp here as well, please feel free. This is your home as much as ours.

Some of the wolves I will be playing with-

A Beautiful Suicide (of course)
Lyrical Madness (left)
Sweet Revenge (bottom)
Annyxia
Deadly Haiku (top)
Whispers of Dusk
Whispers of Terror
Whispers of Regret
Lira
Candy Regret
Shattered Gem

... and everyone else! lol

Broken Krystal padded onto the scene nervously. She hadn't ever really met her mother, and now was her chance. Her face settled into a frown: why couldn't she be bothered to be a part of her kids' lives? And all that hardship that she had put Dad though...Man. Maybe, Krystal didn't want to meet her mother. She looked behind her at her father and frowned a little bit: how would he hold up? Whatever. She had something to say, when she found her, and she was going to say it! Plus, Krystal was looking forward to seeing her twin again! She could use someone to wrestle with!

Tristan glanced around, looking at his daughter fondly, however stoic his posture remained. He wasn't sure how much he wanted to be here: what if Lyri wanted nothing to do with him? Then, there was Penny. Hrm. Well, Krystal wanted to see her family - would she leave then? All puppies have to grow up and leave the nest sometime. But, Krystal was all he had anymore. He glanced around tentatively at the borders of the scent markings.

Shatter raises her head, catching her sister and father's scent in the air. Quickly she ducks it back down again, just barely avoiding the searching eyes of Grandfather Beau. Dropping down onto her belly, she crawls through the underbrush around him. She is getting better at hiding her colors in the forest, but nothing will ever save her from having to duck low into the denser ferns near the ground, her coat is just too much to do anything else. She's almost made it back to the den when his head swivels to seek her out. Crap! Like a shot she is on her paws again, crashing loudly through the forest, toward the other side of her family. She is faster than Grandfather, that is her saving grace, and she pushes her way out of the forest before he is even close to her. Seeing her sister's colors she barks once as a warning before making an attempt to tackle her.

Beau can hear the young wolf as she approaches his den. He can smell her. She is clumsy, and loud. He disapproves of her as he does his daughter who bore her, but she is his, so he will teach her yet how to behave like a wolf. As she stalks directly upwind from him, he spins to face her, and she is already off, speeding away toward her father and sister. Stupid girl, she knows better than to walk upwind. He sighs and gives chase, to greet the two new wolves. Beau has no use for the male, he who gave his daughter pups in the first place. Lyric was never fit to be a mother, even in this family. She has spent her whole life fighting tooth and claw against any form of common sense, following her abusive brother around, nearly getting killed by a suitor she once had (Beau had had to step in on that one. Her brother had decided to get rid of her by giving her over to someone worse, and Lyric had not known any better than to go along with it. Let it not be thought Beau would not kill for his legacy, even if they are a pain in the a**), and nearly aborting her puppies on numerous occasions. Really, Beau was surprised that she even have birth in the end, with the way she behaved in the months before she did.

The thing is, Lyric never seemed aware that she had puppies to think of. In fact, Beau is not sure she knows now that she has children. In the time that she had been with him, Beau had never allowed Shatter to meet Lyric. Shatter already reminded him too much of her mother for his comfort, the last thing he needed was to have another one like her in the family. Another of his children, Eve, keeps a tentative eye on her sister, keeping her as much out of trouble as possible, but eventually he knows he might have to turn her away rather than take care of her. It has never been a secret that Beau does not like his children, and has no desire to actually father them.

Krystal, however, is very interesting to him. She is his as well, and he would have taken her away too, had their father not been so fierce about them making their own decisions. SHE would make a very worthwhile member of the family. But as it was, Beau was able to charm Shatter (who has the unfortunate habit her mother has for not sensing or avoiding danger), but Krystal had not been so easy to convince. Ah well, perhaps now. He smiles sweetly as the pair come into view, slowing his gait to a walk.

She could hear the fast-footfalls of another creature, racing towards the two of them. Ears perking, she hunched her shoulders low, sniffed the air deep. And a familiar, almost forgotten scent filled her nostrils. However, close behind, she caught the smell of the wolf she had met once before, the one who had taken her twin away, and tried to take her from her daddy. Just as she was starting to bear her fangs, a snarl starting in her throat, she caught her sibling's bark of warning and leapt out of the way swiftly, on instinct. Then, Krystal pounced at where Shatter had landed, hoping to pin her and begin a wrestling match, growling playfully all the while. "Shatter!" she called excitedly.

"My Gem.." Tristan began to say, actually letting a smile filter onto his maw. He had missed his other daughter, wondered how she had fared here, away from him. Wondered if she got to talk to her mother at all. He glanced nervously at Krystal, but it was soon apparent that her ire was easily forgotten in the wrestling match with her sister. The mistrust was plain in Tristan's gaze when he caught Beau wandering onto the scene. Though, Shatter seemed happy enough, living here. Maybe he had misjudged the father of Lyri. Still, though, Tristan remained stoic as he watched the other male, waiting to be greeted before exchanging what little pleasantries there might have been to share.

Shatter gets pinned, giggling as she rolls around on the ground with her twin, biting at her ears. She peers up at her Daddy during a moment of triumph to flash a happy smile of greeting, before getting tumbled over again. She had missed them so much, but being with her grandfather and her aunts and uncles and cousins had been very interesting, fun in a different, unexpected way.

"Tristan," Beau smiles wide at the other male, "You've brought my granddaughter to me. It is good to see her, she has grown into a beautiful, graceful wolf." He turns his attention to the tumbling girls, noting how Krystal seems to be winning. He is not surprised. "What brings you two into my territory?" He has a few guesses. He continues to smile diplomatically, wondering if he should invite them back to his den.

Krystal seems non-reactive to the biting of her ears, but lets a playful snarl escape her lips. She wondered what Shatter had gotten out of living here - how Beau was treating her and what the rest of the family was like. She felt a little pang of remorse for a moment, then anger, as the emotions fought over themselves and she wrestled even more fiercely than before.

Winking at Shatter, he smiled proudly at her before his attention was taken by Beau. "She has indeed." He replied, still a bit guarded. At the question, Tristan replied slowly and in a measured fashion, "Krystal wanted to see her mother." he chewed on his lip briefly: for what would that mean for him and Lyri? It did not matter. "And I missed my other girl." it was made apparent in his tone that he wanted Beau to understand these were his children, and he was not about to give them up should it be his choice.

She wiggles free of her sister, the aggressive wrestling becoming too much for her. She darts away, hoping to engage her sister in a game of tag or a race, where she had more hope of winning. She reached the edge of the forest where she and Grandfather had come from, and stared back for a moment for her twin.

"Her mother?" Beau feigns surprise, and his voice drops to a lower, conspiratorial tone. "Her mother does not leave her den. She eats only because my other daughters force food on her. She does not care to see her children, she has never even spoken of them... or their father." Content that this would be devastating enough, he quiets, watching the girls again. His eyes reflect his sympathy at their broken situation, when in reality the gears in his mind were spinning, thinking of a plan to get what he wanted.

A little frustrated, Krystal didn't feel like her sister had given the match her all. She began to race after her with a playful, but still quite ferocious, snarl. Just as she was catching up to Shatter, Krystal heard her father snarl and looked back curiously, ears flicking to catch the conversation between her grandfather and father - she had grown completely oblivious to her twin. Then, she inquired to Shatter, dejected, "H...How's mother?" she glanced from Beau to her twin, "Is what he said true?" She wasn't sure how to feel. She always assumed her mother couldn't be bothered to care about them, but...

Instantly, Tristan narrows his eyes at the surprise in Beau's voice. As he listened, he looked over at Krystal. The girl was just as determined as he was, and he had to stifle a snarl. "Then we will go to her. She can tell us herself." Tristan had come to terms with long ago that he meant nothing to Lyri. He was here for Krystal, and while Beau's words might have hurt him slightly, he was never one to show emotion and so stood stoically glaring at the male. He cast one more glance at Krystal, and spoke again, "The ones it would truly hurt are the pups. But they deserve to hear first-hand." Due to their previous encounter, Tristan had a feeling that Beau wasn't telling the full truth about Lyri anyway; never spoken possibly because she didn't know. Tristan would not allow for this male to keep his pups away from their family.

Shatter lowers her gaze to the ground, and her voice is quiet so the adults won't hear, "I... I haven't seen Mother. Grandfather won't talk about her with me, but..." she glances around nervously, "But I think she's crazy. Everyone in the family says it... " She fell silent, unwilling to share everything she suspected, from what she had seen.

Beua shakes his head gently. "I would not deny you. I will bring you to her myself, but please, not my granddaughters. They may be adults, but they are still young. I would not see them hurt the way only their mother could hurt them. See for yourself the state she is in, and then decide if your daughters should meet her." His voice was gentle and genuine, for he did feel a fondness for his grandchildren (nearly all of them, really) and he was truly worried what influence she might have on them.

((In the theme of being slightly sadistic to our wolves... I think Lyri is addicted to something, a painkiller/mind-dulling plant that her sister brings her. She will have started taking it while pregnant to calm her nerves, and then never gotten off of it. Can you work with that, you think?))

Skragharigg d'Olath Cressen was wandering through the forest that was supposedly part of her family's territory. She barely remembered her family as she ended up disappearing from them when she was a pup. She looked about and sniffed the air. Oh yeah it smelled like some wolves had been through here recently. A small grin spread across her maw as she thought about meeting any wolves, family or not. Oh yes this would be a good day, good day indeed.

Elsewhere in the woods Mesmerizing Disaster was staring at the flowing water from a creek. She often was lost staring at her reflection, mesmerized by it. Part of where her name came from. Her odd ears twitched as she heard noise but she didn't pay it any attention as she was too busy staring.

That was weird. Kyrstal had assumed that this whole time, Shatter just wanted to bond with her mother. She had always been more forgiving. She gave a huff through her nose, snorted a little. Then, she spotted her father and Beau beginning to plot and move. She looked at her sister mischievously, and darted into the woods to blend in, saying obviously and loudly as not to be detected, "Come on Shatter, let's race to the river!" with a wink. In a whisper that was just a breath of air once she was well camouflaged, "Now's our chance to see her. I overheard dad was going to visit her. I'm following him. Are you coming?"

The fact that Beau did not put up a fight surprised the camouflaged male, and he was almost taken aback. His eyebrows furrowed with concern as he pleaded about Shatter and Krystal. He nods his understanding; he knows full well that their mother could devastate both of them, and he doesn't want that for either of his little girls. He worries not so much for Kystal, and though she might hate him for it, would rather save her the pain of having to go through what might happen. She may take care of herself, but as a father, he is still obligated to protect her. "I understand." he replied and made to follow him, waiting tentatively for him to lead the way.

Shatter quickly chased after Krystal, but stops when she whispers. She glances back at her dad and Grandfather. She is nervous.. she doesn't go against him for real very often.. but she does want to see her mother. She shudders thinking of the consequences when Grandfather finds out (of course he will!) but she nods anyway, and darts off, leading the way in the direction of her mother's clearing, not waiting to follow her elders. .

Beau smiles sadly as the girls run off. He can see through the young one's plan, but he won't stop them. Not yet. He steps toward the direction of his daughters' homes, beginning a fairly lengthy walk through the woods to get to Lyri's den. Most of his children have spread out, seeking solitude, their own peace in the midst of the crazy. But two of his daughters, Lyri and Eve, now live side by side. Eve took over the care of her sister entirely since her pregnancy, and now hardly anyone else bothers to go see her, no one willing to brave Eve's ferocity.

Sweet Revenge, or Eve, hears the males coming from inside her den. She darts out and into Lyri's den, where she lies dead asleep in her dingy nest area. Seating herself tentatively at the opening of the den, she waits to see what the boys want, watching guard always over her sister.

Lira is minding her own business enjoying a nice scratch when a rustle in the leaves in the nearby woods catches her attention. She hops to her paws and swiftly stalks nearer to the sound. A wolf with similar colors to her own is crossing into the fringes of family territory. She streaks between the trees, stealthily following behind the new wolf, curious to see what she will do next, wishing to first carefully spy before greeting someone unfamiliar.

Candy Regret steps closer to his daughter, and sits down next to her before the water. "You're very quiet today... are you alright?" He flicks pebbles into the creek and watches them sink through the clear water to the bottom.
