Hayes entered the classroom, a bundle of books involving magical elixirs held under his arm. Looking around the classroom
lit only by the early morning light, he took in a deep breath and sighed. The scent of his previous students still lingered in the room.
He pulled back the curtains of the windows further, flooding the room with orange and golden rays of the sun. He never liked artificial light, so he decided to leave the light switch off. Turning to his desk, he placed his books upon it and lightly smiled.
"This undying thirst haunts me.
For eternity, I shall endure this craving lust for the liquid beneath your skin..."

Nobue walked into her new class. Setting her belongings on a desk by a window. She sat down patiently, She knew she wasn't going to meet any friends on the first day.
Staring out the window took back by how amazing this place looked.. She slightly felt home sick. Not that horrid place that she was forcefully taken to. No, the one that was on the cost of Japan.. That home.
She sighed getting her head together and looking back at the front of the class..Looking at all the desks and chairs and such..

Hayes looked up from his desk work to see a student enter his class, and he set his pen down. Smiling warmly, he looked at the student and leaned on his desk eagerly. He was always glad to see the first student of the semester, though he anticipated the more to come.
"Good morning, you sure seem early for class," he chimed after a glance at the clock. There was still ten minutes before class started, though he didn't mind early birds.
He brushed his bangs out of the sight of his eyes before running his fingers through his hair.
"This undying thirst haunts me.
For eternity, I shall endure this craving lust for the liquid beneath your skin..."

Nobue heard a voice that wasn't her own. She looked ahead at a man who looked to be her teacher. But he was young, quite young.. no matter to her, she nodded and mumbled loud enough for her to hear,"Um yes it's actually my first day." She was looking at him directly in the eyes.. Her eyes seemed to shimmer when she had said this soft and barely audible sentence. She looked back down at her desk. She was expecting a response like "Oh I see." or a nod.. so she looked back at her desk..

Hayes nodded with a light chuckle, twirling his pen in his fingers.
"Your first day? Why not spend it in the schoolyard amongst other students?" he asked, though his voice remained cheerful. He always tried at all costs not to become frustrated or sad, as it might trigger a greater reaction beyond his control. But he grinned anyway. He still never liked to see his students avoiding others when they could be so much happier making friends.

"Oh..Um.I'm not a very social.. person..Sir.." She looked at him while she was talking,"I can't really start a conversation.." She looked back at her desk.. and then back at him and her desk again.. She was nervous..She did not know why..

Hayes chuckled lightly, resting his chin in the palm of his hand as he leaned on his desk.
"Well you'll never learn if you don't try! You seem to be able to hold up a conversation just fine." he said, writing something down in his paperwork.
A breeze blew in through the window, loose leaves and flower petals dancing outside the window. The cloudless sky was beginning to turn blue as the sun rose further into the sky, and birds could be heard twittering outside in the nearby forest.

Nobue stared at him and then outside.."It's not that..it's just.." she silenced herself..Surely he didn't want to hear her insecurities.. "Never mind... " She quickly thought of something to change the subject hoping he wouldn't stay on it.."So um I never got your name Sir.."

Hayes didn't want to prod into the girl's personal life, so he didn't ask further. He was only a teacher after all, not a guidance counselor.
Hearing her basically ask his name, he looked up from his work and grinned.
"Well, I'm Professor Otori. And you are?" he asked, flipping to his roll call list, ready to write her name down.

Nobue looked back at him and had a sheepish smile,"It's nice to meet you Professor.." She stood up, and went beside her desk and bowed, "My name is Nobue Okita..." She wasn't used to calling her teachers 'Professors' it was so foreign to her. Nobue stood up straight,"Um Sir..may I call you Sensei instead.. or would you prefer Professor?" She staring at him waiting for a response..

He stared up at the room number and knocked on the door feeling a little confused, he could make out the voices of what seemed to be a female student and a male teacher, must've been Mr.Otori from what he had read on the school files. He tapped his foot silently and patiently waiting, he had to wonder if he could walk right on in, but the door was shut and no one else looked to be approaching, he didn't want to interupt them by barging in though. ☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼ You cannot look at me and call me bad, if you, yourself, are hidden behind a mask.

Hayes was writing down future lesson plans for his classes when he thought he heard someone knock on the door. Looking up, he inspected the door for a moment, as if he could see the person on the other side, before turning to Nobue with a warm smile.
"Do you mind opening the door for our guest?" he asked, secretly hoping it was another student.
If anything, the new student could keep Nobue company while he was working for the moment. There were a few minutes left before class actually started, and he never liked to start before class, perhaps a few minutes after, though.
