What is godmoding?
Godmoding is where you make a character either so powerful that there is absolutely no way that anyone can ever beat it or you just make other people do things that they haven’t given consent for such as killing without permission or otherwise causing others to detest your character and how you use it.

But everyone seems fine with it, besides it’s my character I can do what I want with it.
True, it may be your character, but making it unbeatable or almost impossible to stop (like a secret/true final boss in a video game) and doing whatever you feel like isn’t cool. Unless it's in a thread where that's allowed, please refrain from doing that.

So then what kind of godmoding are you allowing if it’s so bad?
You can make your character as strong as you want, but not invincible. They can be a powerhouse or have abilities that just scream cheat code, but they have to be able to be taken down. Remember, despite it being called god mode, you aren’t a god, and thus your character must have the possibility (about 25% at least) of being taken down by someone else.

But then doesn’t that just make it regular role playing?
In a sense, yes. However, that’s what makes things fun. If you go around just doing instant kills, you lose the excitement of roleplaying . Think of it like a video game. Cheat codes that make you unstoppable are nice, but it takes away the challenge. How much would you play a game that you were able to beat again and again and again simply by doing one normal move?

What if I don’t know if my character is like that, or someone just keeps saying I’m godmoding when I’m not?
Just bring the case to me. I’ll hear all the sides and take a look at the incident in question and determine whether it is or isn’t godmoding. Remember, you can only god mode in rps that have (GM) in the title. If you end up doing it anywhere else you will have to change it or at least tone it down so that it’s fair for everyone.
