Well, I currently have really thick past-shoulder length hair and I've been DYING to get it cut because it gets in the way! People say I have really pretty hair, but it's no use in having it since I just tie it up all the time! I'm thinking about getting a boy-cut and then spiking it like someone else I know did, but some people can't pull off a short cut like that. If I can't do that, then maybe I'll just get shoulder-length so it's easier to put my hair into a bun.
So, how would I know if I can pull off a boy-cut? ;-; I'll post a picture if I can so you can get an idea of what my hair currently looks like.

Extra Edit (note): Just make sure you have a pic of yourself and try and make it as centered and like... just look into the camera and make your face like... straight like... smile but keep your head really straight so itll be easier to transfer the looks and everything! ^^

I think generally it depends on the shape of your face, whether it's chubby or not. x3

Hopefully you can still tell the general shaping of my face even though I've blurred it. But that's how long my hair is now. I would say it's slightly roundish but not too much. ;-;

Oh no, I would say that if you have a very round face, getting your hair cut short can make you look a LOT younger (depends I suppose on which way you'd rather go!).
Hmmm. Personally, I think you'd be better getting it cut shoulder length (or slightly longer) and going from there.
I'm not sure whether it's because i'm slightly biased in that I don't really like short hair on girls, I think it's rare than they can pull it off. x3
But yeah, I would go shoulder length first, and then if you like it like that keep it, or if you still want it shorter then maybe keep getting slightly shorter! Always look at it this way - you can always cut more off, but you can't instantly grow any back if you don't like it. >_>

I had mid-back hair and cut it boy-short a year (and a half?) ago, and I love it. I don't spike it, though.

Anywhoozles, I finally got my hair cut after pestering my mom until she caved in! I did get it shoulder length... and I'm quite happy with it so far. It's sooo much better than having really long hair that's like... well, long.
I'll post a picture or something later when I get more time~! =D

I suppose she did. XD But imo, I think shorter hair is easier to take care of. It took like five hours (exaggerating but still...) for my hair to dry before I got a haircut. Now it takes five minutes...
I don't think I'll get it cut any shorter for now, but if and when I go into the Marines, I definitely will. XD But that's quite a long way away.
I suppose I'll just have to see. :3
