I wasn't quite sure where to post this and I hope not to offend anyone, especially the Guild Captain and other workers, but upon reviewing the Guild (well the more recent posts and forums anyhow) before joining I was very much disheartened to see so many base threads with so little information.

It was my original intent while making a search for a Land of Stories announcement with some sort of free item that lead me here and I am shocked at the lack of information and announcement that is constantly bombarding the glee fandom. Now, I wasn't expecting this guild to mimic a news/gossip website - and upon second thoughts now this is more of a strictly 'Kurt' guild than just a fan based one, but still, 'is Chris Colfer really gay?'.

...really?


I hate to typecast or fit him into a mold but have you people not seen that angel face?! What makes you possibly think that hair and tiny waistline (seriously have you seen it) belong to a straight man? And again: his beautiful angel face. Seriously guys.

So, I have taken it upon myself to dedicate my time and incoming knowledge to this guild. First up: links.

Gaia isn't exactly a central hub and I know, much like Kurt, some Gaians spend there time here or on facebook and don't branch out for information that isn't spoon fed on main media sites. So, those of you questioning sexuality or anything Kurt/Chris/glee cast/glee in general must abstain from any number of sites but I, am going to link you to only one.

(Ladies, gentlemen, and those of you yet to decide I ask you not click the link above unless you have low maintenance parents or are of the age of fourteen cause it can get way past PG-13 on there.)


tumblr is a magical site for a number of reasons, the main one being it's a great big web of information about glee, character or cast and also big news that is important to fans be it small announcements like who's on set (if they so wish to tweet* it) and big ones like upcoming musical numbers** and stills from around the set as well as episode screen caps! Again though, please if you're under the age of sixteen make sure your parents know.***

Now, tumblr can be the most useful because of search tags, but it gets pretty cluttered and confusing with the constant stream of repeat information so here is a link to wetpaint.com which has this special little glee corner of its own on the site with everything you need or might want to know****.

Now, moving on from news and fandom need to know and onto: FANFICTION.

LITERALLY everyone and there mother (damn you Fifty Shades of Grey) read fanfiction now and it's sometimes hard to find something really amazing for beginners to get them hooked; but it's even more difficult to find something meaningful and a tad more...NC-17***** for an experienced reader so, more links.
I'd really hate to just say 'oh here's fanfiction.net, cheers, best of luck to ya' because not many people pay attention to the announcements on the first page but, it's actually against site rules to post anything that details a graphic sexual act and anyone who can't get off on just visual porn anymore will tell you with gusto that if you're gonna read it, you're gonna want a step by step instruction guide. Visualization is key when it comes to any story and even the K/G rated fics need that spark that holds your interest!

This is strictly a Klaine fanfiction site! Basically meaning all stories end with Kurt and Blaine getting together.
It Could Happen
This is strictly a CrissColfer fanfiction site which of course means that all stories end with Darren and Chris getting together.

This site is by far my favorite because if I'm anything, it's a multishipper******. The stories can end in any number of ways but either Kurt, Blaine, or Sebastian are gonna end up with one or the other...or all together which is usually really funny to read so yeah.


Okay, now anyone who loves fanfiction knows about pairings or 'ships' and there are so many when it comes to glee so I'll just let you reply to the thread if you want a certain ship name but will leave you with this:
There are so many different types of ships.

There's everything from relationships, friendships, polyamorous groupings and with these different ships come different names and from what I'm seeing, some of you need a little help with this but, like I said, soo many! Therefore I will leave you with the very short list of different ships that I know which are: OTPs and brOTPs.

OTP = One True Pairing; examples include canon couples on the show like Klaine (Kurt and Blaine), Finchel (Finn and Rachel), Britanna (Brittany and Santana), and Tike (Tina and Mike).

brOTP = ...still not quite sure how to explain that abbreviation but it's mainly friendships that are canon to the show or we wish would happen; examples include Furt (Finn and Kurt), Bike Chanderson (Blaine and Mike), Quintanna (Quinn and Santana), and Hummelberry (Kurt and Rachel).

Now, some brOTP and ship names will fall under pairings but the 'rules' bend in ways you can't even imagine or want to see so let's just leave it at: it's complicated and float our own boats the way we see fit.

Moving from written fiction and into fact though! Something exciting has happened to the glee fandom very recently and anyone with a twitter account should know what I'm talking about. But because I'm going to tell you anyways here it is: Ryan Murphy finally got a twitter account!
I, like many I'm sure, was originally going to take this opportunity to slander and hate tweet at the man but, he pulled off an amazing feat and did something none of us expected. He gave us what we wanted. I'm sure most of you have seen the infamous Box Scene that we Klainers have been pushing for since season three's Christmas special and while the charity that so graciously gave everyone the visual of the episodes printed script, it was extra special when Mr. Murphy bestowed the very actors we so cherish playing out the scene with their beautiful beautiful faces. If you've yet to see it though, this is the link to Ryan's sparkly new YouTube channel where all the cut clips he's posted so far are.

This is all that I can think to post at the moment so I'll just leave you with encouragement to post in this thread for anything you might want to know be it a ship name or a which song is from what episode. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my contribution to the guild.

**musical numbers: on tumblr, during a season, an upcoming episodes set list will be leaked. It's affectionately referred to as 'First Listen Friday' (or FLF) with the whole song recordings available for download from various sources.
***are you of tumblr age?: The site, like many, has a requirement to how old you must be to use their site but if you'd like to use it despite your age I urge you to search a 'how to' on blacklisting so you can browse the site and follow whatever blog you like without the looming terror of something incriminating popping up on your dashboard.
****wetpaint.com: they also have a facebook page that you can go and like that will post current news on your feed.
*****NC-17: fanfiction ratings are a basic need to know when it comes to being a reader but I'd like this to act as a disclaimer.
