Having lost no momentum since she'd missed, rather she gained momentum upon receiving his attack when at a loss for a means to evade it. Instead she moved on to trying to defend from his second charge.

Momentarily amazed that she'd managed to block the charge, Alery transitions to a counter that she attempts to liken to the manner of his charge, trying to execute what she'd watched to some extent.
