So, someone on DA brought up an interesting subject. They made a journal post, looking for songs for the LGBTQI community, but realized they only focus on certain aspects but ignoring others. I also realized that and it got me wondering.

I never heard a song about people dealing with conditions like mine or their experience as intersex (I know I am not the only one and found out the hard way that doctors don't like to talk about it or really tell you anything). I also have a friend dealing with severe depression and seen people suffering from other illnesses, but never had people that supported them or talk about it. A lot is kept silent.

So I suggested writing songs about our own life, experiences, feelings, etc...as some topics is very important and can shed some light and maybe educate people or show all the different sides and views. They were looking for music as they said that media can help bring awareness and even change people's minds on how they see things.

I am writing one about my experiences called Little White Pills and about the issues I had to deal with and people trying to sweep the problems under the rug, ignoring them, hoping that the problems would just go away or that the pills would be some kind of cure even though they don't address the actual problems. The cruel experiences and jokes people done to me.

It might be difficult and painful, but they did make a point about shedding light and someone having to open up, Making music that others can relate to, so they don't feel alone.

Maybe it can be a good experience if all goes well. I don't know what I hope to accomplish, but if something good can come out of it, I really don't mind sharing my story. smile
