I know I've made like 2 WHOLE other threads, pfff. But I'm curious in what kind of music the rest of you listen to?
Me? Oh, thanks for asking. emotion_kirakira Well I mostly listen to punk/indie/alternative rock. But I like me some post-hardcore~ I can't stand Screamo though >.o I also listen to Nicki Minaj, since she has super catchy music 8D (Don't hate emo ) I don't listen to rap other than her, and I don't listen to much other than the above... I feel pretty bland. ANYONE KNOW ANY COOL MUSIC I CAN LISTEN TO?

OH MY GOD MUSIC!
I tend to listen to.... everything... emotion_awesome
No but seriously, I grew up listening to classical, celtic (and peagan celtic), 90's (i'm a 90's child, what can I say?), 60's-80's rock and roll, disco and soul, 1920's-50's swing and do-ops, screamo and death metal... etc etc etc
I tolerate the "modern music" of hip-hop, pop, and rap... (Call me maybe ;3)
My car radio switches between the three country music stations and my favorite of two Christian Rock Stations in my area. Yeah... I'm one of them. xD

My taste in music is really random and unrefined. xD; Sadly I don't think there is any style I can call myself knowledgeable about. I think half of my music is in English and is stuff like The Fray... The remain half is split between anime music and francophone artists like Yelle and Cœur de Pirate^^;
Oh yeah... I love the Backstreet Boys. emotion_dealwithit

My taste in music is kind of everywhere. From 80's music, to 90's music ((90's baby after all)), Techno, Rock, Country, Classical, J-rock etc. Then there is my Disney music, anime music, and game music and then...Vocaloids. emotion_awesome
I don't care for rap. I do however enjoy listening to Eminem because I grew up listening to him daily because of my brother....I was singing his music in kindergarten... emotion_facepalm
Don't care for Screamo...It's not even music. >:U It's just a man screaming things that I don't even think are words. XD
I don't really care for the music of today...it's just....garbage in my opinion. Music has gone down the drain. Every now and then I will hear a song and go "Well, that's not so bad....don't care for anything else by that person but I like this one." So a lot of the time people will be singing or talking about a certain song and I just sit there either griping about the fact that it's just a horrible song or sitting there quietly cause I've never heard it because I don't listen to the radio. XDD

There's always a song in every genre that I like. My favorite has to be Jazz, Folk and Waltz though. Most of the music I listen to are doujinshi (pretty much a Japanese version of indie e.g. VOCALOID, Touhou arranges). I tend to discover new genres by exploring doujin music.

My favorites have to be celtic punk, celtic traditional, 90's rock and alt rock, 80's hair metal, classical (Beethoven is my homeboy), and a few carry over bands 90's bands still doing well in the 00's) like Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam.

I get this all the time "you're only eighteen, how do you know who this is?" emotion_facepalm I'm pretty sure I'm one of few that knows that "Under Pressure" is not just sung by Queen but features David Bowie... and that the musical chords used for that song are in fact stolen from their records and used in the song "ice ice baby". >D You no give credit? You owe them lots of money, Vanilla Ice. dun dun dun

Oh music, my love, my life. I don't really have a lot of groups I like in particular. I usually like individual songs, but there are a couple groups I like as a whole. Some of which are Tokio Hotel, Nolwenn Leroy, 10 Years, Psychostick... a few others. I seem to like older music more, mostly 90s, but my playlists are all over the place. I love Rush, which I've been listening to since I was a kid (heck, the day I was born, my dad went to a Rush concert. It was meant to be). Most of my songs are sentimental, like stuff from Nsync, Dreamstreet, Aqua, Clannad, ABBA... Stuff from the childhood. heart But of course, video game music and soundtracks are a must. Current favorite soundtracks are from The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, and World of Warcraft: The Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm. Other times I just turn on a game and plug in my headphones. xd And finally, I compose my own music as well. All instrumental, a few techno-ish. I make songs on my keyboard and clarinet, then make them into tracks on my computer. They seem to be my favorite songs, but of course I wouldn't write a song if I didn't like it. blaugh I probably like a few recent songs, but I don't really listen to the radio or keep up with that. If I hear it and I like it, then... there.

It comes naturally to me. Props on proper Bowie citing. Just picked up a best of Aretha Franklin CD. All of my squee!

Just picked up a best of Aretha Franklin CD. All of my squee! hahaha that's awesome. My answer is always "my mother is a 1960's teenage hippy who had three sons in the seventies and eighties. I'm a product of their raising." (I say hey y'all and yee-haw. Let me get a big hell-yeah from the red-neck girls like me.) why thank you. I try. -fangasms- I own the best of Aretha two-disk cd! I learned all those songs in a week when I was eight. (When living in the middle of no-where with a limited supply of entertainment, eight year olds have no lives... and amazing taste in musical genres. xD) What makes me sad is that unless you count her song "Respect" not very many people know Aretha anymore. 3

To be perfectly honest, I'll listen to just about anything. With the right band, almost every genre has the potential to be likable. Since my tastes are a little too varied to accurately describe, here's a link to my last.fm for those interested. I'm an amateur guitarist/singer/songwriter, and I mostly play a lot of folk, but have recently been moving towards exciting new territory with the electric guitar.
