I'm just curious how everyone got into One Piece. Most people don't get into it because of the art style which is a shame because I thought the art style was unique or because 4Kids ruined it.
Although I got into One Piece (and don't kill me for this) is because of the 4Kids version, I saw the 4Kids version of it a few times and although I wasn't hooked on it I remembered it. Then a few years whilst waiting for Naruto to update I got bored and remembered One Piece and started reading it and now because of how awesome One Piece is I got sooo hooked on it that all other anime/ manga might as well disappear and 5 years later, I'm still reading One Piece smile
So that was my story, whats yours?

I watched One Piece all the way up to when Funimation took over. After that I stopped all together till one summer I got into reading a manga, then I saw the One Piece manga and started reading that, bout a year later I got back into it and watched the 8th movie funimation dubbed and started watching clips from the Japanese version, soon enough I had all the manga's and started collecting the dvd funimation dubbed. Now I have all the books up to date, all the dvd's up to date and currently waiting for more, and the Strong World dub.

Growlzagra I watched One Piece all the way up to when Funimation took over. I watched it when it came on Toonami. From the first episode I was hooked, but once it moved to 4kids I stopped watching it because of the massacre of the dialogue and shameful graphics. So, I just started watching it on the internet.

Toryuuku Shinjuku I watched it when it came on Toonami. I found a coupel of volums at my library and found them interesing. I know a lot of peopel say they did`t like the art style at first but I actually did smile
It was one of my first manga and I found all the drawings(exsept some of the character design) nice and easy to understand. It only took a coupel of volums before I was completly hooked. biggrin
