~Backbone, antarctica~ Backbone is a whaling town at the edge of an ice shelf, there are many humans living in this small town, because of the cold weather the dead tend to froze before they could make it far enough south. Until recently no undead were spotted in this area. Just five month after the fall of Hope, a scouting party went missing during a recon mission in the old abandoned mine. Since then more and more people have been going missing, yet nobody has spotted a single zombie, could this be the work of Vampires? The winter season has came, now it is time for an entire month of Darkness, but the Generators still works due to an operating Oil rig that has a power plant next to it.

Liz trudged in deep snow until she reached a whaling town. "Oh dear lord YES!" she cried, hoping Ian would be there. She ran through the empty streets with joy, "Hello? Is anyone here?" she called, her voice echoing throughout the deserted town.

DemitriDemitri walked through the snow, nearing a building on the outskirts of the town. It was old and run down, leaning to its side. He entered and closed the wooden door behind, setting Bo back on the ground. The little shack was a little warmer than the outside, though it was still breezy from unfitted boards and cracks every where. There was a couch with stuffing splayed out every where and a small table in the first room, and there was a small bedroom in the room behind this one with two beds crammed together. Demitri stepped into the bedroom, looking at a nightstand in the corner of the already cramped room and rifled through some old journal the previous owner left behind. He lightly tossed it back onto the nightstand and walked back into the small living room. Shrugging, Demitri gave a small grin to Bo and gestured to the place around them. " For now, until we rest for a while. I'm tired from all the walking, in the morning we can find someone to eat." Yawning, Demitri took a step back, his foot catching on an edge of a bed and fell backwards onto it. He blinked and looked at the ceiling, his hands throwing above his head and laughed at himself. Back in the village, everything was silent. There was no one to be seen as some doors were left agape, swinging in the wind. There was a scuffling sound behind Liz as a little girl steps out from behind a building she was hiding behind. " Shhh!" She had her little fingers to her small lips. " Be quiet or they will hear you!" An arm that belonged to the girl's mother came out from behind her and pulled her back behind the building, scolding her in a harsh whisper. " But they will get her!" The little girl protested loudly. " They will get you too if you dont be quiet and come away with mommy, that girl can take care of herself." And the voice's died down and rushed footsteps went away from the site

Liz sighed as the two went away. I hope those two end up okay. she thought as she kept walking until she saw someone from the distance, which was Demetri. She was thrilled to see another living being, unaware that he was a vampire. She started running towards him, but slowed down when approaching him. "Hello sir." she said politely, pulling off her hood.

Boniface looked at her surroundings quietly. The silence was deafening on her acute hearing. It was so silent she could make out every last piece of snow that drifted down form the heavens and onto the covered ground. The place wasn't bad in her eyes but it was missing that certain liveliness that the fort seemed to carry. The only thing that was very much alive was Demetri and Bo didn't know whether to count him as 'alive'. He had done all of the walking for her but the day was tiresome so she settled down on the bed beside the one Demetri was on. She laid her head on the lumpy pillow and threw her red locks over her freckled shoulder. She stared at the wall, thinking to herself about the choices she had made - pondering if they were right or not. Not wanting to get too upset with herself she shook the thoughts from her head and thought about the next meal she would be having. Boy or girl? Skinny or plump? Blonde or brunette? Her mouth watered thinking of all the choices she had to pick from, though the dead town probably wouldn't have much of a selection to feast on. Then Liz appeared, interrupting her thought process. A human coming up to a vampire? Oh dear. She sat up in the bed and stared at the beautiful blue-eyed woman. Bo cracked a sickly grin, revealing her protruding fangs. "Mmmmm..." she hummed softly, licking at her red lips. Though she wished to sway the girl into coming closer she held her tongue, for the woman addressed Demetri instead. The fiery-haired vampire drummed her slender fingers on the bed, wishing that they could be wrapped around the human's neck. Dragging her long fingernails across the bedsheets, shes watched how the woman's chest fell with ever breath she took. How she had controlled her hunger, she would never know but her eyes darted between the human and Demetri. I've already become such a monster... Why not bask in the monstrosity I've become and enjoy myself on the way? Boniface pursed her lips, not wanting to seem too restless, and defiantly not wanting to look desperate in front of her new found companion. Though she held back, she could almost taste the coppery treat on her tongue. Stop it Bon! You need to get a hold of yourself!

DemitriDemitri sat up in his bed as the girl rudly entered the shack. He eye'd her, sizing up the puffy parka she was wearing and the tired expression on her face. If shes tired her blood wont be nourished. He shook his head and stood up, looking over at Bo and seeing the hunger that was plain on her face whether she liked to admit it or not. The antsy-ness in her movements were what gave it away. " Hello. What are you doing here?" He casually said, moving closer but with a deadly demeanor, to the side of the door behind her. He folded his arms across his bare chest and blew some strands of hair out of his face.

"W-Well..I didn't mean to intrude on your privacy, but.." She was still unaware of the fact that they both were vampires. Demetri's strong and tall figure scared Liz a bit, She backed away a bit to give herself some space. "I'm glad that there are more humans around." she continued in a relieved tone.

DemitriDemitri smirked, reaching out and grabbing onto her shoulder. " Yes, I'm glad there are too. Otherwise, I'd go hungry." His grip tightened on Liz's shoulder as he shoved her towards Bo. " Eat her for now, then tomorrow we can move farther into the town. I can smell there are more humans here, as well as other vampires, so you will need your strength. I think these ones are rogue, so they wont be obliged to listen to me." After that was said Demitri yawned again and walked back into the bedroom. He stretched out onto the bed and put the lumpy pillow under his head after punching it a few times to get it more comfortable.

Boniface wrapped her arms around Liz and pulled her closer. "Why hello. Nice to eat you. Oh! I mean 'meet' you." Boniface rested her lips on the woman's neck, feeling her pulse. Just feeling the blood rush through Liz's veins seemed to invigorate Bo. She opened her mouth and bit into the human's neck with no regrets and began to take in the red fluid that fueled her existence. After a couple more drops, she withdrew her fangs from the woman's vein and smiled. " Tasty. Though you could use a little more sugar." Boniface let go of the human and pushed her to the side a bit. She retreated to the small bathroom to wash the blood from her face, leaving the girl in an unknown condition. Bo dusted some of the grime off the broken mirror and looked into her reflection. With a sigh she walked back out to check on Liz - not knowing if she had killed her or not.

Liz couldn't believe that she had fallen for the trap. She started coughing and sputtering up more blood, her vision blurring. She remember what she had told Beloved and Cherished before she left Russia. "You know how much vampires have been running around during this apocalypse. You must remember I'm still a human and there's certainty that I might be turned or killed by one. If I return as a vampire, you must promise not to kill me. Okay girls?" She remember the girl's reluctant response, "yes". She looked up at Bo, her beautiful blue eyes being drained of their color.

Bo flinched and backed away from Liz. "D-don't look at me like that," she said looking back into the woman's blue eyes. Their lights were slowly fading, much like that of a dying blue firefly. Boniface felt a pang deep within her heart and in the back of her mind the old Boniface cried out to help the woman. But Boniface was torn between letting the woman die and helping her. You have to help her out! Do something. Boniface shook her head, denying the voice and pointed to the dying woman. "I'm not going to help you! There is no way!" Bo looked away form the woman and out the window to distract herself from the situation. She gritted her teeth in frustration, wishing that she knew what to do.

DemitriDemitri's nose twitched at the smell of the blood when it sprang into the air. He rolled over and ignored his own hungry stomach, making sure Bo was fed first. "I'll find someone tomorrow." he muttered into the pillow, though behind very conscious of the girls in the other room. Because of his hearing, he could picture the room and 'watch' their movements by the sound they make. He could tell that Liz was still alive and was in shock. Did she really think walking into a random house which two strangers would end up going well? Even if we were humans, we still would have been on the offense and not willing to share anything until we trusted her. Humans are pretty stupid.

Liz finally had the energy to get up, leaning onto the wall and looked at Bo, with her lifeless, forgiving eyes. She stumbled to the door, tripping over her own feet in between and bursted through the door, letting nothing hold her back. She knew she wasn't going to survive, but she knew she would last longer if she got away from them.

Boniface lightly hit her head against the glass on the window. She's a human, Boniface! Remember what you are! Bo watched as the woman stumbled through the snow outside. If another vampire didn't pick her off, then the cold would. Boniface had just gotten away from her remorse of drinking from humans and now she was falling into her former self again. With a sigh she turned away from the window and walked after Liz. Just this one last time. Bo grabbed the woman dragged her by the parka back to the shack. "Listen. You're lucky I'm even trying to keep you here. It's not like I care or anything but you end up dying out there." She pulled the woman into a corner and left to grab a blanket from the bedroom. "Just sit here, cover up, and be quiet. Okay?" Without an answer, Bo continued on and laid on the raggedy couch, closing her eyes.

Liz stood up, but leaned against the wall to help her balance. "What? You want me to stay so I could be your meal?" she retorted. Usually she wasn't angered with vampires, since she was always use to Sonika being one, but now she was angry. "Your not higher than every other human just because your a f*cking vampire!" She kept remembering the reason why she was here. Ian. She started to think that the two vampires had killed him already, though she was still curious.
