The True Cross Order is a large organization of exorcists that has been seemingly fighting Demons and Satan for the last 2000 years. It has branches throughout the world, each managed by a "Director" or "Branch Managers".
It is unknown what the True Cross Order's actual goals are, as they haven't been stated. However, given that they have been defending humankind from demons for roughly 2000 years, it can be assumed that the order both trains exorcists and exorcises demons. In addition, the order takes it upon itself to heal humans who have been harmed by demons.

The True Cross uses titles to rank its students and exorcists. When an exorcist-in-training enters the True Cross, they are called Pages. This is the lowest rank. A student can take the Exwire exam and become a Meister in different fighting styles. Ranks following are Lower 2nd Class, Lower 1st Class, Middle 2nd Class, Middle 1st Class, Upper 2nd Class and Upper 1st Class. Ranks even higher than a regular exorcist are the Chancellor, Arc Knight and the highest rank of all: Paladin.

This chart gives a simplified visual of how the categories, or demonic elements, interact with one another. For example, demons of rot or decay are weak against fire, but strong against air. According to the chart, there are only five "elements", forming a pentagram. Note that there are eight demon kings of Gehenna, yet only five elements. The remaining kings could be under another chart or category.

When two of the same demonic elements clash, the weaker power is always absorbed by the stronger power.
Each of the five elements are led by a king, and all of them named thus far may be of the eight demon kings, though this is merely speculation. As Satan has been called the "god of demons" or the "god of Gehenna", there is some speculation that he is not considered as one of the eight kings and is merely their leader.

Assiah
is the world in which humans live. The demons can pass into this world by possessing anything that exists within it. The humans in the world of Assiah can exorcise the demons back to Gehenna. Any kind of contact between the two worlds is impossible, save for demons who live in Assiah by possessing objects.

Mashou/Spirit Wounds
refers to wounds or illnesses that are inflicted by a demon. Once a person sustains a mashou, they become able to see demons for the rest of their life. As such, it is a rite that all prospective Exorcists must go through.

Gehenna
is the world in which demons live. Satan is the god of demons and the ruler of Gehenna. Currently, not much is known about Gehenna, as it has not yet been seen. It has been stated that there is no material present in Gehenna. It is said that the only direct way to the demon world is through the Gehenna Gate which only Satan can open.
