I want to build a warrior in Skyrim, but I can't seem to decide wiether to be an Orc or a Nord. I was thinking of going two-handed such as axes, greatswords, and warhammers. Also, should I go heavy armor or light? I was also thinking of joining the Companions so I could get to be a werewolf plus they seem to make awesome followers.

What happened to your Conan Barbarian Build?

With your weapon preferences in mind you could make a warrior build similar to barbarian (stat points in health and stamina) although you now have the play style option of having a redguard race and using the adrenaline rush race power (10x stamina regeneration?) if you decided that you wanted to dual wield axes instead.

Armour class is a matter of personal preference of weight vs. power which may be negligible for a high stamina character who eschews magic. it's more of a consideration if you want to use spells though.

Skill wise spreading your skill perks throughout an armor skill (light or heavy), a melee weapon (one or two handed), smithing, alchemy, enchanting and possibly block as core skills, then have skills like marksman, restoration (if you really must quest with NPCs), lockpick (get it anyway it's cool, gives more loot at lvl75) and pickpocket (carry more stuff at lvl50).

Also, you can join the companions as any class, just saying.

I think heavy armor sounds cooler for a warrior, but I tried it once and my character ran so slow, I just hated it. So I decided fur armor was "warrior" enough and stuck with light. Two-handed weapons are also a bit clunky but they do a million times more damage.
