With the RO2012 forums soon to close, this thread is to discuss how this guild can best serve you.
Feel free to bring to light any thing you think we need or can improve on.

Ideas to incorporate or improve upon: - Figuring out who our leadership will be. - Ideas for sub forums. -RP? - Guild activities. -Who will be lead organizer? -Where will the prizes come from? - Guild mule? -We need someone in charge of graphics.

The Agenda is to let our users know when and how approved suggestions are to be implemented.
Agenda:
Next on the list is subforums. ~Echo has a thread going already. As with everything else we can't read minds so input is very helpful to us. ETA on this is relative to interest in each forum.

Improvements implemented: Echo is in fact the newly appointed VC.
Set up a guild banner thanks to Wolf Princess. Other banners are still open to consideration as they are created.
The decision for the guild finances has come down to ~Echo and I sharing a mule.

I'm headed off and won't be on until later tomorrow, but until then, perhaps you should all start formulating some ideas. What we really need to do is make a list of short term goals, such as what needs to get done to get the guild up and running, and long term goals, to figure out how we're going to keep it strong and active.
I think having some goals to work toward would help in organizing this guild to its potential.
Some short term goals might be figuring out temporary a core of leadership, finding out what people are interested in this guild becoming, tossing around ideas for subforums, and what kinds of activities they would most likely be active in.
Long term goals could be establishing more structure to subforums, coordinating guild activities, and in what ways to live up to the guild's potential.
Just throwing ideas out there, good or bad. Hopefully more people have input on this.

Ok so the main two guys should be Hodd and Meek, or atleast it seems that it should be that way they both seem like they want to help and put what they can into it plus rather than being against one another putting their ideas together would be a much better plan.
We also have to take into account that we need someone who can make us some designs/banners just something not so....basic, give more color to the guild. biggrin
We need atleast two people willing to help make some sub-forums and such, like places to chat, future events, hangout threads, perhaps a thread where people could post a get together in towns so all of us regroup once more for pictures and talking and such perhaps some more dancing.((You would have had to been there..)) xD
Um....as far as getting all of this done we do need to have some leaders here, Hodd's done a great job but I'm sure he would appreciate some help so anyone who wants to come forward who has the skill to do such as what's been listed would be great!
Edit; Also there's the big question who's going to be the treasurer? In my last guild we had a gold mule with that, the leader played games and such to earn gold aswell as people donating some gold, with that we held several events and such.

I was thinking of having 2 VCs, that way there's a tie breaker should we become "locked" on an issue, and two inputs should I have to take a short hiatus. I think Gleek would be a decent VC, and Echo if she's up to it.

Blind Hodd I think Gleek would be a decent VC, and Echo if she's up to it. Love this idea. Both are deserving of it. But I should add the caveat that we should let the community as a whole decide - and have votes on leadership roles.

Not to repeat what everybody just said but I like to RP so an good RP sub forum would be nice. =D
Also a thread with the topic about the latest Video Games or Movies would be cool. =D
I suppose there would be one for Manga and Anime as well....I just wish I could get back to that kind of stuff. sweatdrop

Not that I don't kinda agree with you but what community? The guild doesn't have enough members yet I think and shouldn't we have a firm leadership before things even get anywhere serious? Right now the guild is small so you only really need two people in charge to moderate.
I know that you're still trying to build up on the place but at the same time you want to spread the word about the guild.
While there's still time in the forum best to gather up those nice Aekea themed images if you want to show them off in the guild.
Also make a link to the guild in your sig that way even if you aren't out passing out the guild's location people who are just browsing can see your past posts and the link.
We want to grab the devoted Aekeans who would like to join a guild while we still can and before a bunch of other Aekea guild pop up and the pople are divided.

Lol my application just got approved heart And I'd be willing to help handle disputes between Guild members, or help keep people pumped up for Aekea, and possibly some other things too. emotion_awesome And yes I agree with you, the Guild needs a firm leadership before it gets too big. A successful Guild is like a Castle: if you don't build it on a steady foundation then no matter how strong the walls are, it's only a matter of time before it collapses. But, if you build it on a firm foundation, and have good, strong members to build up your castle with, then you can maintain order both within and outside your walls. Leadership is essential. Also I read something about a "Guild Mule", and I'd just like to put in my two cents. I'm not sure if it's been said before, but we definitely need more than one person to manage the Guild Mule. There are a few reasons for this... So if one person, say, ragequits or something happens to them, someone else can manage at least the financial part of the Guild. I think that Two people is the magic number here, and if one person is gone for an extended period of time, a temporary substitute member should be appointed along with the existing Guild Mule holder. Now, every time the role of Guild Mule holder switches, it will need a new password. I'll probably have a lot more input later, but I just woke up emotion_drool
