I personally though the book and the movie were extremely well done. Both had high points, in the book they had more time to explain about the Lolita history which was interesting. I found that unlike most books that are made into movie's this was one of the few that stayed pretty much true to the plot of the book. ^^;;

Volta where can I get a copy of the movie? Borders carries it, and suncoast does too if your living in the US. It would probably be sorted in the Foregin Films section.

The book, of course!
Books are almost always the best version. The movie, at first I hated Anna because I had read the manga first, but I got used to her. She's so cute, kyaa! But, all the different styles are good. They all are fairly true to the original.

I got the manga today! *dances* I liked it a lot. It confused me quite a bit because I'd only seen the movie, but after I was finished I really liked it. I also started acting more 'lolita'. Crazy how Momoko does that to me... I want a dress now! gonk

I've read the book and the first chapter of the manga and I'm dying to see the movie. I think the manga is just other stories about the two isn't it? Anyway, I heard there is a sequal out in Japan to the first book. Does anyone knwo if it had been translated yet?

I liked the book best. It was so wonderfully written. The imagery was amazing. The story was compelling. I've read the book 4 times, and will probably end up reading it many more times. I've only watched the movie twice, because I can't sit still for a very long time when I'm not completely focused.
