So what are the weird things that you want to try making?
I'm tempted to try knitting a tunic out of flexible wire to create some mock chain mail. No idea what it would look like but it seems like an awesome idea!

That's a pretty cool idea. I've always wanted to make explicit things out of clay. (Sorry to be blunt.) But I've seen some crafters who make afore mentioned things, and it's amazing how realistic they can get their statues!

I know someone who had choice to do that as a three year degree, apparently there are a number of people who've chosen it.

I didn't even think that that could be a career - but I guess anything can be. I love looking at other peoples work!

I've seen a knitted life-sized skeleton and innards that I'd love to make myself.
A fetus pattern sounds really neat.

Please don't give me weird looks -- It makes sense in context -- but I want to make a transvestite chicken yoyo(just repainting a yoyo, not from scratch)
Also, you know those tissue box covers? I don't know if It's been done, but lego-shaped ones.

Heh. That sounds neat even without context.
And it seems to have been done here out of lego and looking like a lego for sale. It does seem like a cool project to do on your own. Definitely something I'd do if I had kids or a strong tie to lego (read: if I mention this to my significant other he'll want me to make one).

As someone who makes chainmaile, I would really like to see how that turns out. Making maile is a lot like knitting. I myself would like to try casting or forging. I would probably start by melting down a bunch of copper washers I have and pounding them into a cup or something. You know, keep it simple.
