Here I shall do my best to keep a current, up-to-date, list of MMORPGs that are in beta testing. I will also provide a site where you can sign up to beta test that MMORPG, and a few other useful links (such as reviews, previews and guilds).

If you know of an MMORPG that's not on the list, please feel free to PM the information to me (including a URL to the MMORPG's website).

When an MMORPG is to be released, I will also post the release date here.

Also, feel free to write reviews or previews for MMOs. If you send me the URL to your review/preview, I will put a link to your review/preview next to the game.
If you have a guild for one of these MMOs, feel free to let me know and I'll put a link to your guild by the game.

About Beta Testing

What is beta testing?
Beta testing is a phase, or a number of phases, an MMORPG (and every other game) will go through. Beta tests are held to find bugs, glitches and other abnormalities within the game. Tests are held to test ballance with character classes, game stability, and overall flow and gameplay.
Testing may be internal (only developers, sponsors, ect. may play) or the designers may hold beta "auditions"-- for lack of a better term. This means that the public can submit beta applications, and if they are selected to test, they will be able to do so.
Developers gather data through beta testing. Beta testing is held to make sure the game is running smoothly, and to allow other people to give the developers ideas on how to improve the overall game itself.
More often then not, beta testers are held to a strict "NDA" (Non-Discloser Agreement). This is a legal contract beta testers must agree to to get into beta. By agreeing to the NDA, the beta tester will not be able to give out any information about the game to the general public without permission by the game company. Of course, if this person doesn't agree to the NDA, they will not be able to get into beta testing.

Status Terms

Here's a list of what the status on games mean.

Development: This means that the game is currently under development. Alpha testing may have started, but beta testing has not yet.
Closed beta: This means that the game is out of the development phase, but is not yet released. Internal alpha testing is completed. Closed beta means that the public may send in a beta application, and may be selected by the developers to test the game.
Public beta: Public beta is usually held when the game nears completion. Testing is now open to the public, with a few requirements. These requirements may be purchasing a pre-order box for this game, or something else.
Open beta: This happens just before the game is launched. The public is free to play the game, usually by downloading it from a site somewhere. Open betas are held for publicity and to test server status with large loads of people.
Released: Beta testing is completed, and the game is released.

Note: If you see "beta testing?" as a status below, that means that I know it's in beta testing, but I'm just not sure which phase (closed, open or public).
