A large, circular tower at the top of a hill. A stone spiral staircase takes you up past a ridiculous amount of pigeon holes inhabited by packages, letters and owls.

Sam walked into the Owlery five minutes after leaving the Hospital Wing. She genuinely hoped that Dana got better soon. Right. That is it! I'm gonna be a nicer person from now on! I swear it. Sam thought to herself. She called down her owl and attached the roll of parchment. "Take it to Mum. Good girl." She stroked the owl's back and raised her hand. The owl flew away and Sam turned and walked out of the tower and down the stairs.

The Owlery was nearly silent.
The only thing I heard was the ruffling of wings and little nips from the owls beaks. They all watched me with wide eyes and she chose the healthy barn owl and tied her letter to his foot. It read,
Dear Zahr,
I can't take this anymore. My presence is unwanted and I have not been receiving the marks of my choice. Take me away.

5th Year He was early, but that was ok. It meant that he could find his owl, and let his mother know that he hadn't gone anywhere near that cup. He put his broom over his back and walked in, looking around. Tim was a bit of a push-over when it came to animals, so he would usually end up giving more than one treat to his owl, or taking a few things out of her package so that she wouldn't have to carry as much. "Hey Fudge," He enthused when he found her, and the chocolate brown owl opened her dark eyes. She cooed at him, and immediately tried to find his treats by pecking at his pockets. He laughed and pulled out a few, and she ate them up, he tied the note to her leg "Take this to Mum, ok?" He smiled at her "Make sure you find shelter if it starts raining, and be careful of any free dragons." The owl was bored of him now that she had gotten her treats, so she screeched and flapped her wings angrily. "Sorry, I know you hate it when I warn you about those things. You know already." he smiled as she flew off and he sat by the entrance to wait as he watched the sun setting.

 Robber ~ Olivia's pet I'm an immortal ferret... Robber's claws clacked along the ground as he scurried into the owlery. Students often forgot or were too busy to retrieve nice home cooked food, and that's where Robber came in. He sniffed around, disturbing the sleeping owls that hooted angrily at him, but found no such yummies. About to give up and head off to find Olivia, he turned to find someone in the room with him. He chirped loudly, demanding something to eat. you got a problem with that? (ooc: I made Robber immortal 'cause most ferrets only live a few years and I wanted Olivia to have owned him since she was little.)

5th Year He moved over, towards the sound, and found the ferret. "Hey little guy, you shouldn't be in here. Some of these owls get really angry if you upset them," he tried to shoo him out towards the door, but then he realised that the ferret wasn't scared of him. "Ah, so you're someone's pet?" he guessed, and (after making sure his Quidditch gloves were thick) he picked up the little thing and moved back to the door. "You shouldn't run away from your owner, you know. You may think you're fine, because you eat most predators, but what if a fox or a badger started strolling about?" he stroked his back quietly "I'd better find out who owns you. It's not like I'm needed here or anything." Tim blinked and sighed.

Robber ~ Olivia's pet I'm an immortal ferret... Robber enjoyed being carried, so he didn't protest to being picked up. He scoffed, in his own ferrety way, at the thought of being attacked by a fox or badger. Robber flicked his ears at Tim's last comment. This guy had come out into the cold dark to wait for someone. He squeaked sympathetically at Tim, Robber hated waiting for Olivia. It had been a few years since she'd transformed into a fox and talked to him. She was sometimes hard to understand at times, but he just didn't find anyone else as interesting as her. Snuggling against Tim's warm grasp, he kept a sharp eye out for Olivia. you got a problem with that?

5th Year He stroked the ferret and sat by the Owlery again. "I can't be bothered to move just yet." he explained to the ferret "I'm a little upset that I've been tricked... again." Tim sighed "Why do Hufflepuff's always have to fall for it?" he wondered sadly.

Robber ~ Olivia's pet I'm an immortal ferret... Robber nuzzled Tim's fingers with his nose to try and cheer him up. He'd once been tricked out of getting a delicious cupcake, so he understood how he felt. Flicking his ears, Robber wished he could speak. He'd say something smart and kind, just like any good ferret would. He would also ask for food, but that proabaly wouldn't help Tim feel better. But since none of that would be happening soon, he just sat there with Tim, hoping this person would show up soon. Maybe with some food... you got a problem with that?

 Olivia "Oliver" Heckler They say Gryffindor is for the brave... Olivia hurried up the steps to the owlery, not pausing to catch her breath. She found the Hufflepuff boy waiting for her with Robber on his lap. "So...sorry." She gasped for air, "Problem...common room...hospital wing..." She gestured to the ugly scar that snaked across her face, then pointed at Dana. "Brought...a friend..." At this point, Robber wriggled free of Tim's grip and hurried up Olivia's pants and up onto her shoulder, softly licking her ear. "Sorry, Robber. No treats right now."...are you sure I belong here?
