So I was looking to 3D model some shackles of the Sufferer, I would make it transparent with foggy gray areas and fill them with red Christmas lights to make it glow, but when I went to look for 3D printers to print it (needing to be the full color 3D printers due to the fogginess of the grey) I found that the material they use to make it full color would make the shackles potentially too fragile...

Think I should go for it maybe? Or... maybe just go for a solid color and hope that the red shines through it and it looks fine?

I would go with the more fragile of the two, since it's nearly a guarantee you'll see the light through them. I've used a 3D printer before, and know the dangers with taking chances when using those things.. @_@;
As long as you're careful with them and don't flail or anything, they should be fine~

Plus, I can print the shackles to be a cloudy grey to affect the light shining through... idk though...

What kind of 3D printer did you use? Was it a ZPrinter?
