Sewing machine. Activities like hand sewing and handicrafts are something I am not skilled to do.

I prefer sewing machine as its much faster and my sewing machine has quite a few useful stitches that would take me ages to do by hand.
However, I sometimes make tiny things that require hand-sewing as they're much too small to run though the sewing machine without getting eaten.

My hand sewing isn't brilliant but I seem to end up doing it most of the time due to lack of access to a machine. I'm starting to get even sized stitches and it no longer really hurts when I stab myself by accident as I do it so regularly.
Although I find the biggest down side to hand sewing most things is that I regularly sew my clothes and occasionally bedding into whatever I'm making. It's really annoying!

machine really is faster but it took me forever to get the guts to finally get my own machine. I just kept remembering the horror stories my FACS teacher told us in middle school when we were using them. Ugh. They are so much safer and easier to use then she made them out to be.
Hand sewing, I've found, is so much easier for fixing little tears or adding neat little details to pieces. I used to do cross stitch and you could make the cutest patterns and pictures with it. I want to learn embroidery but I'm trying to limit myself on variety of crafts I'm working on a time so I don't have 5 bins of craft stuff for all of it.

Machine, definitely. I only do small things like attaching buttons by hand.

Wow, I'm the only hand sewer here? gonk I am terrified of machine sewing, so everything that I do is by hand.

Machine sewing mostly. It's more durable than me hand sewing. Same here if they're buttons, appliques or beading will actually sit down and hand sew them.

Except for little things, I mostly use my machine, although I'm still frightened by it. XD It has a button foot and a zipper foot I'd like to try to use sometime, but I'm a bit nervous about it so it'll probably take me a bit to get around to it~ <3

I do my sewing by hand because machines are big and expensive. I'm a little daunted by them, since they can go really crooked really fast if you don't know what you're doing, and the stitches are harder to rip out. ^^;

hand sewing~! I actually sew a lot slower with the machine and it gets frustrating whenever the bobbin thread gets tangled so I stick to hand sewing. *Nod*

I seem to do more by hand. I like using my machine though, just the things I make going by hand is easier.
