Let's start with the basic role playing rules:
IC = In Character; This means every actions, speeches or thoughts that your character makes are deemed valid to the role play's timeline / plot.
REMEMBER: When typing as IC, you have to use distinguishing marks such as asterisks ( * ) or hyphens ( - )
OOC = Out-of-Character; This refers to YOU as a player. Everything you say / type in OOC mode will not be considered true in the guild's role play timeline / plot.
REMEMBER: When typing as OOC, you have to use distinguishing marks such as parenthesis ( ) or brackets [ ].

What is Godmodding?
"God Modding" is in essence when someone’s character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries.
And example is when they simply cannot be harmed by any and all means other RP-ers try.
-It can be killing or injuring a character without the player's express permission.
-It can be when they simply can’t be hit and dodge all attacks or anything for this matter aimed at them.
-It can also be using other characters that other people RP with. In other words, if you do not RP as
Legolas, then you cannot have Legolas say anything, or do anything, without the player's express permission.
The absolute worst is when they make out another character to be what they’re not, just to make their own character seem superior.
They make others seem weak, screaming for help, when they’ve made it quite clear about their advantages and strengths.
This is called power-play. It’s a strain of God-Modding, but instead of just being irritating, it’s offensive to boot.
This is a prime example of God Modding:
Player A: Punches Player B
Player B: Dodges attack, grabs Player A and throws him. Player A flies at Player B, who warps behind him and slashes Player A in the back.

VOIDING A SCENE.
What does this mean?
Voiding a scene is an action only done after an agreement between the parties involved in the scene.
Voiding a scene is another term for deleting a scene. It is when people agree to repeat / change / delete / remove / alter a scene for whatever reason.
I only recommend this, if the parties experiences "godmodding" from a party or if all parties wish to extend a scene and make it more interesting.

HOW TO ROLE PLAY?
I don't know what kind of role play you've been from, or how your system was, but I am following mine because I think it is more organized and effective.
My role play system is simple.
1st: Every line you post must contain 5 words and above. NOTHING LESS. (Less than 5 will make your line invalid/void.)
2nd: I do not care who's turn it is to post. Just keep typing and entering lines.
Specially during duels. The faster you are, the better. You're a slow typer? I'm giving you permission to put stuff on a note pad and copy paste. Doesn't matter.
3rd: EVERY ACTIONS MUST BE ON SEPARATE LINES. For example: A.) an attack, you must enter a line about your action (MAKE IT DESCRIPTIVE= How you moved, where you are aiming, use of adjectives is so much preferred.) B.) You must state next if your attack successfully hit its target. (You must do this fast if you want it to hit, because while you're not entering this line, the opponent has got a chance to dodge or block it.) Advantage to quick typers.
4th: I do not care if your lines have errors in spellings, as long as everyone udnerstands what you are saying. Example:
*Angrily shoots my metal cable at yuor shuolder* = ACCEPTABLE.
*Agnrly shts m meatl cbl @ yr shlder* = WTF did happen to your finger bro? GTFO o' here.
