I need to get a new camera as mine decided to die on me recently after 5 years of wonderful service.
I was wondering how the quality of the D3100 is. I was also looking at the Canon 550D in comparison.
I can't afford to spend thousands of dollars on a camera, so I'm looking for a happy medium where price and quality are both very effective and proper.
What do you guys think of the the nikon?

I can’t speak for the Nikon d300, because I have never used it before however I do like the quality of Nikons I started off with a Nikon cool pik l100 and moved on to the d3oo and I love the picture quality. However in the end I suppose it is whatever you like ^u^
