There is so many different kinds of clay out there what is your favorite kind to use and why that kind?
Mine has to be sculpey clay. Every time I have used it, it has done the job and just looks awesome. Especially when I sand the clay to get ride of marks and that and the clay doesn't crack or look bad it comes out great!
Anyone else?

My favorite is stoneware. I used to do a lot of stuff with it. Some day I'd like to get a kiln so I can do it again.

I've only used sculpey as I am fairly new. I want to try that sculpey that looks like granite though. emotion_kirakira

I'll have to say sculpey as well. I don't really like using anything else....

I like lightweight airdry clay. Only downside to it is that you have to work fast because in a matter of just an hour it starts to dry already. It's good if you're using molds or charms, since the weight is light.

My favorite is Sculpey Premo. The color palette is supposed to be similar to an artist's palette, making it easy to mix colors, and it's more durable than some other brands. I do occasionally use Sculpey III or Fimo but I don't like to mix them with my Premo since they cure at different temperatures.

Ⱥяρɑҝɑȿȿσ ℙяῖɳϲℯȿȿ I use mostly sculpey, but I find it annoying when it gets too soft and some details accidentally get mushed. Then I have to go through the hassle of getting those plasticizers out of the clay. But since sculpey and craftsmart brand clay are the cheapest, I stick with those. I once bought a block of fimo, and it was super hard o_o But it was good for a cheap way of making "TLS." I have Japanese air dry clay, but I only use it for larger pieces. It's difficult to work with and it's still fragile when dried.

Any kind of paper clay. Also tried Fimo polymer clay, but it didn't work out well for me. Maybe I just need to practice a little more sweatdrop

I've only used Fimo once before (and it was years ago, before they changed the formula), so I'd have to go with Sculpey Premo. I find it a lot easier to work with than Sculpey III, but I always seem to scorch it when it bakes >.< . The type I use most often is the giant beige block of Super Sculpey, which I hand paint. (I am so jealous of people who can create a whole colorful piece without painting!)
