Biography: Valencia Ramos died moments after giving birth to Edmund Dorrance, Jr., leaving Edmund Sr. to care for a newborn while maintaining a full time job at Kane Chemicals. Luckily for Edmund Sr., Ms. Kane had a flex time schedule for all her workers, which really helped the two males during Edmund Jr.'s formative years. When Kane Chemicals became Kane Enterprise, Edmund Sr. was brought over and allowed to stay with the company. Edmund Jr. showed signs of a high intelligence early on, and Sr. put Jr. into Tai Chi at the age of three. At the age of five, he was also enrolled into Judo, and at the age of six, he began classes in Tae Kwon Do. Having been able to read since about the same time as he began in Tai Chi, Sr. started teaching his son Latin, Spanish, and Arabic. Edmund continued reading on his own, reading his father's entire library, which allowed him to learn Urdu and Mandarin. At the age of thirteen, he achieved his first black belt in Tai Chi, and not far behind in Judo or Tae Kwon Do. He began combining katas from each of his chosen disciplines each morning to prepare for the rest of the day. At age fourteen, Edmund stood six-foot and weighed two hundred and ten pounds, he decided to join the football team and quickly found his niche as a defensive tackle. He included moves from the calisthenics from football into his morning routine. Edmund found the homework in the public education system overly simple, and easily aced all his tests. When asked if he wants to graduate early, Edmund refuses, giving football and his friends as a reason.
