The shoals that line the coast make it impossible to dock, and terrible to surf. They extend nearly half a mile from shore, making a submerged beach. Beware the drop off points! One minute you're barely waist high, the next you step into a thirty foot drop. Smaller sea pokemon often take refuge on the shoals to escape predators, be careful while wading and mind your feet so they don't get cut up.
The long walks on the shoals inspired beach huts to be made and created the biggest resort in the Phior region for newly weds and anniversaries. Kingdra huts have heated fans for couples who want to sleep over the waves and the tides, while Corsola walk ways make a small park of piers filled with souvenir stands, food vendors, and snorkeling shoppes. Things can be bought whether your in the water, or on the wood.

Location: ~ Zephyr Coast ~ Usually at this time Lyra would be at her gym and if she isn’t there, she’d be at the contest hall. However, since there aren’t any contests going on and there aren’t any challengers around, she’s taken to walking around town. Lyra walked the shores of her home town with her Vaporeon beside her. She was watching her other five pokemon swimming in the water. “Kingdra stop looking like the odd one out!” she called out to him. Truthfully he seemed to be the rain on the whole team's parade. “King…” It muttered what he said was anyone’s guess. Shaking her head, Lyra was glad at least the rest of her pokemon were in sync. Milotic and Dragonair seemed to be content together, while Swanna and Golduck were content handing with one another. “You can go play Vaporeon I’m fine just watching you know.” Lyra told her pokemon. Vaporeon shook her head. “Va va.” (No I couldn’t.) She couldn’t leave Lyra alone on the beach it just wouldn’t be right. “You know how I feel about you guys bonding, right?” Lyra asked the water type. Vaporeon nodded but still didn’t leave her trainer’s side. There were plenty of time to bond with her teammates later. Team: Vaporeon (F) - Lv. 30, Swanna (M) - Lv. 35, Golduck (M) - Lv. 30 Dragonair (F) - Lv. 30, Milotic (F) - Lv. 30, Kingdra (M) - Lv. 25

  Gray
"That's the ocean espurr," Gray smiled with his companion hanging on him. "It just keeps going on and on, doesn't it?" Coming from an inland place, all he could help was to gawk at the sparkling water.
Walking along, he pulled out a few pokeballs from his pocket. "Some sort of promotion, or something..." He said. "But we're really just here to look for sis and dad. Still... It's probably fun to train pokemon." Walking further, he slipped and sank in the sand, looking clumsy by any passer bys. "Sand..."

Location: ~ Zephyr Coast ~ Lyra looked along the stretch of beach. People like usual were enjoying what it had to offer, nothing like a little fun in the sun. It wasn’t until Vaporeon spotted a boy who seemed to slip in the same. “Va?” (Uh?) she question racing off over to the young trainer. “Vaporeon… Hey, where are you going?” Lyra called after her. Racing after her partner in crime it didn’t take long for her team to follow. Golduck was quick to help the boy up and out of the sand. “Golduck.” It spoke as he used his psychic to help the kid off the ground. “First time seeing the ocean…?” Lyra asked Gray curiously. “Cute pokemon by the way.” She added with a smile. Team: Vaporeon (F) - Lv. 30, Swanna (M) - Lv. 35, Golduck (M) - Lv. 30 Dragonair (F) - Lv. 30, Milotic (F) - Lv. 30, Kingdra (M) - Lv. 25

  Gray
"Wha--?" Gray looked to see a pair of pokemon hauling him from the sand. "You guys aren't wild pokemon, are you?" The question was shortly answered when a girl came over to call for them. "Guess not..."
The girl was pretty--and looked like she could easily be in her early teens! "Huh? Oh--yah, it is," He said, a little embarrassed. "Pretty easy to tell I'm not used to it, eh? I'm from Odyssey Town, in the Kalos region, so I'm pretty far from the ocean and all this sand. It just kinda slides out from under you, doesn't it?" Like that made it any better.
"You're a trainer right? Have you met many other trainers?" Espurr stared down at the pokemon on the ground--not even blinking, but just staring silently at them. "I'm looking for someone, but I only just got here," Gray rubbed at the back of his head, accidentally bumping his pokemon to his shoulder. "I don't know what her first name is, but I know her last name is Fletcher. Oh ya! I'm Gray, and this is Espurr. Guess it's a little weird listening to someone ask a bunch of questions without knowing who they are, right espurr?" The pokemon just kept its gaze.
