A Little Bit About Me⇒Catrina Esme Seaver, known as Cat by her friends, grew up as a normal child would, except for the having to keep part of her life a complete secret part, but considering even as a child she rarely spoke, things worked out well. Living in Philadelphia, so close to Salem, meant a lot to Catrina growing up, though she could have cared less if she was a witch or not, more focused on art, especially photography. Her parents bought her, her first camera at the age of seven, and it really showed how much of a keen eye she had for things. She could take breath taking still life photos with a Muggle camera, and beautiful moving pictures with a Wizarding one, by the age of ten. However, it was around this time that her magical ability began to present itself, and she ended up having to keep from showing off to her Muggle friends, in fear of what could happen to her and her family if others found out that they were a Wizarding family. This caused her to become more distant, made her more dependent on her camera to express emotions and feelings, and it appeared as if she was becoming mute.

She remained in almost complete silence for over four years, hiding behind her photography and her artwork, even when she knew she was safe at the Institute. What she knew, her parents had buried so deep into her, to be quiet about what she was, that when she was finally able to come out of hiding, it took longer than most expected. Her first year at proved to be her most difficult in regards to basically everything, especially making friends, but the few friends that she made in that first year, she stuck by as the years went on. Everything eventually got easier for Catrina and she opened up ever so slightly, to new people and new experiences. However, she always found herself looking back on her days of silence with a fond smile, because in those years of silence, she found solace in the fact that they had shaped her into who she was, and who she was going to be.⇐
