Project wha-?
Over four years ago, I began planning out a fanfiction that was longer than anything I had ever written in my life. Spanning three full arcs, two mini-arcs, and hundreds of chapters, this Marluxia-centric monstrosity seemed like it would never get off the ground. My original cowriter had to abandon it before it even started because she didn't have enough free time. Then, about a year ago, I posted the prologue of the first arc, The Butterfly Effect, on the Pit. To date, I have completed eight more chapters and written almost 60,000 words, proving that I clearly have nothing better to do with my life.
So, what's it about?
It's a crossover between the Fatal Frame and Kingdom Hearts series... es. Each arc will have a distinctive theme. The first arc, The Butterfly Effect, is all about the Japanese horror. The second arc, Ground Zero, is something straight out of the work of H. P. Lovecraft. The final arc, Remaining, is a straight up world-spanning adventure with two people that may or may not want to strangle the other in their sleep.
So why should I waste my time on it? I have a life, unlike you.
Well, the first arc has Organization XIII members fighting for their non-lives in the middle of a haunted Japanese village. It's also currently building towards a huge twist that may or may not change your outlook on everyone's favorite flower-scented douchebag, Marluxia.
As for the Fatal Frame / Project Zero fans, it has extensive backstories on the nameless ghosts of Crimson Butterfly, as well as original mythology regarding the village of All God's, or Minakami, as it will be called in this project. There will also be mentions of the other entries in the series, so don't think I'm going to be ignoring them.
If that's your thing, why not give it a shot?
