Crossposted from my previous forum topic, as I hadn't known about this guild when I first posted it, so I apologize in advance. I will pay 400k to the artist.
As the title says, I'm looking for an artist to draw and color a cover for my fanfic crossover project, Project Symmetry, described in detail here. Please read that before continuing.
Here's an in-depth description of what I want:
The main character of the project, Marluxia, is walking some distance away from the "camera" (perhaps 10 feet "away" ) with his back turned, dead center. He is dressed in his Organization uniform, and is in the process of pulling his hood up with both hands. He is walking down a dark cave pathway, surrounded by pitch blackness and the faint outlines of brown rock. The only sources of light in the picture are three glowing Crimson Butterflies (from the other half of the crossover, Fatal Frame) floating around his head. Their light gives a faint red tinge to his shoulders, arms, hair, and immediate surroundings. Other than the butterflies, the only source of color is his pale pink hair.
How I will choose the artist:
Please post to this thread if you are interested with one or two examples of your work. I may choose multiple people for the next stage, and if that's the case, I will ask for a rough sketch of the cover. If I like what I see, I'll let you know. I will give 1,500 gold to anyone that makes it to the sketching stage as a consolation.
Method of payment:
After I choose an artist based on their sketch, I will wait for it be colored. I will want to take a look at the coloring process at 1/4 completion, 1/2 completion, and 3/4 completion. I will give you 20k for each of these stages, and then the remainder for the completed work. If I'm especially impressed, I will give you even more. :]
Things to note:
1. I want it drawn realistically or semi-realistically. No anime, please. Ideally, I want it to be similar to the style of Sara "silvestris" Strand, whose positively gorgeous work is archived here. (Warning: some of her work in NSFW.)
2. I would much prefer for it to be digitally colored.
3. You don't have to be familiar with Fatal Frame or Kingdom Hearts, but I would prefer it.
4. There is no time limit for completion, so I don't want you to rush. However, I also want you to keep the time you spend on it within reason.
5. If I'm especially happy with your work, I may commission you for the later arcs in the project.
Thank you, and good luck.
