A small town nestled snugly between the Forest and Mt. Skylight. It doesn't have much; a bunch of houses, a pretty sizable mansion on top of a hill on the side of Mt. Skylight, a courtyard with most of a Clocktower still standing, and a few locally owned shops on the far side near the Forest. Aside from the wandering hordes of Crazies, the most you'll have to worry about here is the occasional stray dog. While it's certainly far from a safe haven, it's much less active than most other places... Which isn't saying much. If you have to be here, get in, get your s**t, and get out. Have a nice day.

Oh, and if you decide to go up to that mansion... There's some survivors living up there. So be careful. They might have itchy trigger fingers...

Azria felt the truck vibrate under her as she drove it down to the supermarket. The back roads weren't as bad as she expected but it still meant that she would be covered by bruises from coliding with the door everytime there was a bump or hole in the road. A groan left her lips as she hit brakes. Finally they had reached the supermarket and she parked the car in the back hiding it from view. "Alright. We are here to get supplies. Get clothes. Food. Anything you think is needed. Oh and please do try and not get lost. That would be extremely unfortunate. Before we get out of the truck does anyone have any tips or anything to say?" A metal band snaked through her hair twisting it high above her head into a flat bun that was virtually unreachable.

The entirety of the drive, Desiree kept her excited eyes on the outside. Little spats of what appeared to be talking to herself occurred in whispers, but for the most part Desmond just told her to keep quiet. As the truck pulled to a halt and Azria spoke to them, asking a rather vague request. "Oh! If someone finds something in purple in a size 4, grab it... or black! Or pink!" She was practically jumping in the cab as she spoke. Her stopping halted as she blinked and met Azria's eyes dead on. "What my sister is neglecting to say is that everyone should stay quiet and alert... we don't own these streets. The infected do." His warning hung in the air before a hard blink. "My brother doesn't know how to have any fun... we're all strong and smart enough for shopping trip... especially one where we don't have to pay for anything!" She smiled and closed her eyes.

Jacqueline rolled her eyes when their mission was once again dubbed a "shopping trip". "Let's get this supply run on the move already." She proceeded to move past Desiree/Desmond to open the door then jumped outside. She slowly rose up to her full height and looked around, eyes and ears alert. Her fiery gaze was scrutinizing the area for anything in the immediate vicinity that might be useful. If she couldn't use her power, she was going to have to improvise. Not that it was the first time she had to do that. There was a large metal trashcan lying on its side, contents spilled onto the ground. Perhaps there was something in there... Her eyes kept on the move; there wasn't much else there, besides more trash, a little more rubble, and... Jacqueline moved around the front of the truck to check the other side of the parking lot. And there lay a half-destroyed car, flipped onto its roof. "Sweet," she said with a smirk. "Hey guys, come see this!" she said excitedly, trying to keep her voice down as best as possible. Her eyes scanned the area once, twice, three times over before she finally made to move away from the truck and toward the car. She moved slowly and quietly, doing her best not to attract attention. Upon reaching the destroyed vehicle, she knelt to look through a shattered window and check for anything that might be useful.

Desiree put decidedly less concern in checking her surroundings before skipping along after Jacqueline. Her psuedo-skin had retracted during the ride over, but that didn't stop her from doing a literal cartwheel in the direction of the radiated girl. Upon setting eyes on the completely wrecked vehicle, Desiree blinked. "That's not a good sign..." Desmond's familiar deepened voice spoke before hissing a whisper. "Everyone keep quiet... the big ones aren't forgiving..." Once Desiree's energy returned, she trotted along up to the ruined car along with Jacqueline. "It's wrecked!" She giggled excitedly. Check the trunk if you insist on making so much racket, sister... Bounding with a strange silence in her footsteps, Desiree made for the car and slid to a halt right before the back of the vehicle. The black psuedo-skin returned, forming around her hands and up her elbows; the fingertips becoming sharper around her own. Desiree dug her covered fingers between the trunk-lid and the back of the car and began to pull down. The car squealed and whimpered at the force and Desiree looked to be putting a hard weight on the piece of scrap until, finally, the trunk dropped open. The very light shuffling of a dropping suitcase and dufflebag filled a small section of space around the car, and Desiree looked right proud of her work opening the vehicle. "Found something!" She announced in a loud whisper.

Azria's demeanor changed and she got serious. "Throw it in the truck. We will look through it later. We shouldn't be standing here in the open fully exposed. Jackie you need a weapon, right?" Metal started lifting from the ruined car and the area around. The metal crumbled and broke into bits shifting until it was a multicolored approximately 8 foot staff. The edges of the staff curled over and widened as bladed began to form. The end product was a thin but sturdy 5 foot staff with two blades attached to the end. Rays of sun beat at them as Azria thinned the blades. They were about 18 inches long and razor sharp. "Don't cut yourself. Now...Let's get inside. I agree with Desmond. Anything strong enough to flip a car and destroy it to this degree is something that we do not want to come in contact with." Her voice was full of caution and she snapped her head around surveying the area."Now...As Desmond said let's be as quiet as we can be," she whispered. Unease crawled through her body as she listened to her senses. Last time there wasn't a car here. It looked newly destroyed. Upon closer inspection there was blood sprayed onto the dark seats and Azria brushed her fingers against it desperately hoping it wouldn't smear. It smeared and her nose wrinkled in disgust as she whiped the wet blood onto her pants. "Guys...let's get inside. Now. I'll bring up rear in case something comes from behind." With no hesitation metal shards filled the air around her. The metal arranged itself up her arms and snaking across her torso. It was hot but she ignored the discomfort of hot metal on bare skin. If there ended up being a fight she needed to have metal ready at her disposal. Hopefully the creature has left the area.

Desiree watched in awe as Azria created the weapon before the group's very eyes. She beamed and ran up to the metal-shaping girl, throwing her arms around the woman's torso and squeezing a bit tightly; it probably felt tighter on account of the psuedo-skin still clinging to her arms. "That's so cool!" Desiree looked up at the girl with her wide, beautiful blue eyes and childlike attitude. "Can you make me one!?" A hard blink and her arms fell a bit awkwardly from around Azria and stepped back with a bit of embarrassment. "Please, forgive my sister's... jubilation... she has a point, though. A weapon might come in useful... if you could create another one." One could easily see the blushing on "Desmond's" face as "he" put his hands behind his back.

Automatically the hug was returned and when Desmond blushed she didn't even take notice. His words were just taken into conscideration. Azria nodded and pieced together pieces of metal to form what looked like a handle. It wasn't a slow process but each single piece of metal had to be molded and elongated. Soon a blade attatched itself to the handle and she reinforced it with another layer of metal. Before their eyes the edges thinned creating a sharp point and sharp sides. The sword was light to carry and wouldn't be a hinderance. Almost in the shape of a samurai swoard but with a broader curved blade. The blade itself was 2 feet long with an 8 inch handle. When done Azria handed it to Desiree. "Be careful guys. The metal is going to heat up in the sun and will be uncomfortable to the touch." It was mostly a warning aimed at Jackie since she assumed that Desiree could handle it when using her abilities. Even thought she was occupied with creating the sword the attention she had on the surrounding areas never wavered. Making the sword had depleted the metal source she had on hand but that was shrugged off. If it was an emergency she would use the metal stored inside. Otherwise she should be able to manage. She wasn't to worried since the area was a gold mine for metal and it would just take minimal concentration to use it in a fashion that would be useful.

Breathing heavily, wounded. A few cuts here and there, nothing to worry about for now. The main issue was the glass shards in his shoulder and arm, and the gaping gashes along his back. The dark leather coat he was wearing was torn up, now. He knelt down in one of the aisles, the Supermarket dark and abandoned, it was natural for him to do so. He didn't expect to be alone.

How did he get into this mess? Last thing he remembered before crashing the car outside was heading for the old Headquarters where he and the gang used to hang out. A safe-haven from the horrors of this apocalyptic world. He recalled looking to his right, hearing the heavy footsteps of something, and then whatever it was crashed directly into his car. He remembered swerving out of control, and then this was followed by a second impact, from what he assumed was the same creature. This time he was knocked out cold. When he woke up, the creature was gone and he was crashed outside the Supermarket, bleeding.

After that he ditched the flipped car and headed inside the Supermarket through a door, which he broke down to get in. "Hm.." He needed medical supplies, or at least some food. He was staggering through the aisles under the dim emergency lights that turned on when the power was out. His blood trailed from the flipped car to inside, wherever he moved.

"Sweet," Jacqueline said with a smirk. That certainly saved her from needing to improvise so much. She took hold of the weapon, weighing it in her hands and examining the blades. "This is awesome! Thanks." Jac suddenly turned her attention to the market. There was a loud noise that sounded like something crashing. "Seems like the fun is already beginning." Her grip on her new weapon tightened. "Let's go," she said with one glance back before heading as quietly as she could toward the store. It was as she was leaving that she noticed the trail of blood on the floor. It looked fairly fresh. "Ah, crap..." she muttered, sending another glance back. "Seems we might have another survivor... or the thing that destroyed the car is injured." Jac continued onward, now tenser than before.

Desiree took the crude-blade quickly and held it tight; looking like a child on Christmas morning the whole while. "That is so cool!" She hopped up and down before blinking. "Indeed. Thank you, Azria..." Desmond's smooth mock of a male voice sounded pleased. Whipping the blade around as a professional swordsman might, he backed up while Jacqueline was admiring her own weapon. "This will do just fine..." He smiled a rare smile and took in a sigh. As the exhale sounded, Desiree smiled and felt the weight of the sword in her grasp. "Azzy, can you do other stuff with that? Like, can you make the car a robot!?" Her exuberance was cut short again. "Sister, calm down. Don't pester the woman." Desmond blinked, and Desiree looked scolded for a moment before smiling cheekily at Azria. "Sorry Azzy..." After a moment of sullenness, Desiree hugged her again, just before the full of her psuedo-skin covered her body. She turned excitedly for the supermart. "Come on! Let's go!"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 16, 2012 6:36 pm

A small chuckle left her lips and flashed across her serious expression lightening her mood for a moment. "Nope. I can't make a robot. I could make a shell of one most likely, just not one that would work." She motioned for everyone to move. "Right now if there is something in there we should stay in a group. I originally wanted to split up, but I don't want one of you all to get caught alone with whatever it may be." She reached over and hugged Desiree back. "Alright guys. Let's head in now." The doors to the supermarket were shattered. In fact all the windows were shattered. Shadows were flitting across the concrete and it made her jumpy. As minutes ticked by she knew they were daylight. No matter what they were not going to get caught here in the dark. She wouldn't let that happen. Out of the corner of her eyes she watched each of the girls accompaning her while wondering how they would do if it came to a confrontation.

Jacqueline was tense now; her eyes watched for every movement. Not only did she watch for enemies, but she was once again looking for something useful. Although she had a weapon, she was simply used to this, finding what she could work with since she was unable to use her power. "I hate this kind of thing," she said quietly to the other two. "Too damn quiet. And there's obviously something around. Which means it's obviously going to jump out at us any minute now." Her grip on the weapon was so tight now it was starting to hurt. She loosened it the tiniest bit, unwilling to risk losing her new toy. Her eyes picked up on metal hooks and shelves, which were conveniently removal. Those could some in handy if something decided to show up. Of course, depending on how big and/or strong it was, they might not work so great for what she could think to use them for.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 16, 2012 7:58 pm

Azria heard something move behind them and it was big. Shelves crashed down and she gritted her teeth as the metal shelves zoomed around them knocking the shelves away from them. "Run...Now." A roar sounded and a string of curse-words that would make a sailor blush left Azria's lips. The shelves and hooks formed into two lethal blades and hooked onto her arms with metal braces. Guteral hisses left her lips as she crouched down. The muscles in her body tensed and flexed. "Damn it. Didn't think that we would run into one of those here." The lumbering body of the abomination towered over them. It was almost as if it was a bulldozer. Well it was a type of bulldozer. "Right now I would really rather be dealing with a bulldozer. Her feet took off in a sprint as she ran down the aisles sliding from one to the other. It followed her as she hoped it was. Metal zipped into it but clinked off barely leaving any scratches. "We need to get it outside... Inside we won't be able to kill it." Debris filled the air and sweat dripped down her neck and arms. Her eyes were wide as she grabbed ahold of both girls and pushed them in front of her.

Desiree had been poking at the discarded products on the floor with her new sword, half-way listening to Jacqueline and Azria's scaredy-talk. Right up until the crashing and thrashing of metal sounded from behind her. Her eyes shot back to see the massive monster as it rushed after Azria's sprinting form. The psuedo-skin tensed with adrenaline, and Desiree rushed for the nearest wall; landing her palms and the bottoms of her feet on it. Like a bug, she crawled swiftly as possible along the wall, keeping pace with the abomination as it pursued her friend.

"AZZY!" She shouted desperately, leaping from the wall up to the ceiling. Desiree crawled along until she reached the space above the monster. Keeping her palms attached to the ceiling, Desiree swung her legs at the abomination's head. The beast, though not hurt in the slightest, did lose a bit of its balance, stumbling to the side before regain it's balance and reaching for her. Dropping onto a nearby toppled shelf with both feet and a hand, Desiree turned her eyes quickly on Azria and blinked hard before the behemoth could charge them again.

"RUN!" Desmond shouted, already leaping the opposite direction of the girl to get the beast's attention.
