Desiree-
Desiree suffers from schizophrenia, multiple-personality-disorder, and acute anxiety disorders, both of which can cause her to go into fits of psychosis and cause incredibly violent reactions to everything. When she is calm, she is bubbly, giggly, and acts as a young child might in many situations. She relies on her brother's guidance to protect her from outside harm and to support her as "the voices" taunt and pic at her; one of these voices being the memory of her brother Desmond, which has formed a completely alternate personality.
Desmond-
Desmond is smart, witty, and suffers from a rather moderate case of obsessive compulsive disorder. He is only ever "happy" when everything is orderly and quiet, which is not often when he's around his sister. He protects and cares for her more than he cares for anything else, and will do anything to ensure she lives.

Strengths:
Desiree-
Desiree's horrid mental state means she will generally run headlong into danger without real fear. She is quick to make friends, and generally doesn't get insulted by anything as she is as emotionally developed as a child. This actually endears her to figures who enjoy taking care of others, and her childlike demeanor is often lightening to harsh situations.
Desmond-
Desmond is a genius in nearly every meaning. He understands the need to make hard decisions, even if others wont. For those he sees as worthy and capable, he will do everything in his power to keep them close.

Desiree suffers from moderate anxiety, schizophrenia and multiple personality disorder. Her other personality is the result of watching her actual brother, Desmond, die in the outbreak. The event was too traumatic, and all the latent memories of her brother, who had cared for her for years, formed the new personality as a complete replication of Desmond. Their particular manner of MPD leaves them both unaware of the fact that they are, in fact, Desiree. Desmond, when he is 'in charge', has a completely different body language than Desiree. 'He' even speaks differently, less childishly and more seriously. Both personalities are aware of each other, but act as though they are simply always together, standing side by side. Desiree will often speak to 'Desmond' and then 'Desmond' will respond, using the body as though it was his own.
Desmond-
The Desmond personality is significantly older, and only has a moderate case of OCD as a disorder. He like to keep things neat, and hates filthy conditions.
Genetic Enhancements
Experimental Design (what were they aiming to do?): The plan for Desiree was simple: a perfect stealth agent with full combat readiness capability. A sort of cellular manipulation takes place, causing a thick, flesh, black dermal armor to grow over her skin. The armor doesn't cover her face completely, leaving only a few veins across her face. The armor allows for impressive stealth, and, thanks to small protrusions from her finger-tips and feet, the ability to climb on walls. As part of the design, she is also very nimble, agile, and quick, and nearly silent when the black psuedo-skin is covering her.
Flaws:
The main drawback of the psuedo-skin is it's weakness to fire and intense heat. The heat eats away at the skin, and drives it back into Desiree's cellular structure. This has caused an innate fear of fire for the two.
Physical Changes:
The psuedo-skin is a black and thick, viscous substance which seems to come from Desiree's palms whenever she needs it to. Since the skin is thicker than human skin and harder than bone, she will often coat one of her arms with it and use it as a bludgeon.
Mental Changes:
Desiree's mind was already very unstable before the experiments were done, and her mind is no more worse off than it was before.
