Throughout this book, you will read countless ways on how to master the art of casting a spell.
Please note however that every spell, wand, and person is different so some of the methods in this book may or may not work for you.
There are many proper ways of holding your wand, for example, but I am just giving you a starting point to teach you on how to discover the way that works for you.
I will make sure to underline knowledge that you encounter. and bold any important terms and vocabulary. Tips will be in bulletins, and italics.
Now, go young wizard, excel and use this knowledge to help you in your studies.

Wielding Your Wand
----------------------------------

I assume by now, you already have a wand. For some reason if you don't, you may be in a tight position. Read this book again when you learn to properly have your materials ready. In any case, I shall assume that you have your wand in a location handy to you.

I. The first step in casting a spell, is to properly grip your wand. Do not grip it so hard that you imagine that it is your aggravating classmate's neck, but maintain a firm grip so that you can easily move your wand in all directions, but making sure that it isn't going to fall out easily or stolen by your evil
ex-girlfriend/boyfriend.

ll. Next you must make sure that you and your wand have a straight connection. You need to channel your energy into this medium which helps you direct your energy. Just imagine a rushing river and take note of how the river may wind and turn but the water continues to flow despite of this. A few bulletins if you cannot feel the connection between you and your wand below.

While it is possible to skip this step, and just directly cast a spell without connecting with your wand, it can be quite dangerous and diminish the strength of your spells. Think of your wand as an extension of your hand, and a part of your soul. You need to be able to know it's there, to use it.

◦ If you cannot achieve this step, you may be an impatient little scoundrel who doesn't follow the book but decides that it's too easy for him/her. However, you may have an emotion turmoil such as a grudge or something you've never been able to forgive yourself for, that may be blocking the connection between you and outside forces. You must relax, and then sort everything out to correctly make the flow between you and your wand to reach your full potential.

lll. Finally, you have reached the last step. The last step to just not worry about anything when you grab your wand and begin to cast a spell (which we will deal with in the next section). You must not hesitate when firing a spell or it may backfire at you. Remember the connection between you and your wand, grip it with force, and just let out your controlled stream of energy through your arm, through your wand, and out at the desired target (which is not and should not be your teacher's head).

Casting a Spell for the First Time
----------------------------------

I shall assume by now as before that you have learned a few spells already. If you have not, do not fret and put this book down right now for it is better for you to know the basic knowledge behind spells before reading some of these advanced techniques.

l. As before, you will be needing to properly grip your wand (Learned in the previous section) and direct it at your target. You must have the desired spell clear in your mind, and know the term or incantation for the spell. If you just decide to call out the name of the spell, and you are recklessly not paying attention, you will die a sad death, and no one will be there to mourn you on your funeral. However I will be there, scolding your dead body of how dumb you really are. you may end up being injured, severely or lightly depending on the spell, and or the spell may not be the one you had in mind and do something completely different from it's intended use.

ll. Note that at this point, with the spell now acknowledged, you can keep the spell at the tip of your wand, or perform the extended incantation (learned in the next section). You need to have the target in clear view, and then say the incantation or just fire the spell. You will feel energy course through your body, and flow through your wand. Hopefully you are not dead. Your hard work has now paid off, and your desired effect will be visible in front of you. Hopefully, you did not already kill your peers in the process. A few bulletins for you.

◦ Do not hesitate at all, I cannot stress this enough. Do not for one moment, try to stop the spell in it's course of flow.

◦ It is possible to link two different spells together, and a wonderfully intuitive different spell will take place.

◦ While this section seems to be telling you to focus all your energy into one spell, do not. Save some of your energy for other spells. The important thing is to perform your spells quickly, rapidly, and conserve energy.

lll. Finally, you have reached the end of the section. After firing the spell, you must make sure to stop your flow of energy in order not to let it all leak out. Think of a faucet. After you're done, if you let it run, the water will keep flowing and waste your water. The faucet handle will stop the flow however, until you are ready. Make sure to completely stop the flow, and not let small drops of your energy leak out, just like a faucet. With this technique, you will be able to rapidly shoot spells with plenty of energy in reserve.

Strengthening Your Spells
----------------------------------

I assume by now as always that you have read the previous two sections. If you have not, go back right now and read those two sections. You are forbidden from going any farther if you haven't.

l. Sometimes just performing a spell with the incantation isn't enough. IT'S TOO WEAK, FOOL. There are different ways of powering up a spell, I shall name the three most common ones in this section. I hope you've have been practicing your magic control, and creation.

II. Compressing is one of the most basic spell power-ups there is. Compression of spells is the art in which a young wizard/witch performs a spell multiple times, but making sure that the spells that were cast remain on the tip of the wand and are combined into a smaller but more potent version of the spell, hence the term compression. Thinking of Kool-aid a powder based drink. As your pour more powder into the water, the flavor becomes stronger and stronger until it is too strong to be drunk. Compression is the more faster way to power up a spell, but most people vary on how many spells they can compress ranging from 1-? with the question mark representing an unknown limit. This means all magical beings can compress as many spells as they wish but it is up to the user's power if they are capable of such a task. Merlin, a famous wizard was known for his compression of advanced spells up to 20 but this was very time consuming and energy draining. The end result was a devastating spell.
This method is still widely used but the other two methods are becoming more and more popular.

lll. Extended Incantation is the art of using a spell's more unknown incantation to power it up. Sure you may know a spell's incantation as it's name but the extended incantation are sentences. To use this method, the user must first acknowledge the spell in mind, and then recite the incantation. This method is very time consuming, but the energy saved makes it very worthwhile. A single Extended Incantation can be on par to 8 spells compressed. But you leave yourself very open to other attacks when you use this method. For example the spell "Levorci." This spell causes the target to hit all surrounding walls and hard surfaces, effectively bludgeoning the opponent. Reciting the EI for this spell will increase the duration, speed, and power of the spell. The EI is below.

♫- "One heart, two bones, and three heads. Break the cycle, and send the others tipping into darkness. Rebound and reflect, but shatter the hope which was once given. Levorci!"

Since each single word powers up the spell, you could stop the incantation right in the middle and just fire the spell if you find it to be strong enough.

IV. The last method for making a spell stronger is called "Tipping." Not to be confused with
"Tipsy."
Tipping is performed when the user of a spell lets the spell linger on the tip of the wand and build up it's power. Since the wizard is merely letting the spell reach it's full potential before firing, it is the most popular method so far and is both time-saving and energy saving but it is not as powerful as the other two methods. However skilled wizards can turn this basic technique into a very devastating surprise.

And now you are almost finished, for the next section is the last section. All these techniques are limitless with a full mind. There are also many undiscovered secrets of each.

Bypassing Spell Incantation
----------------------------------

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

I assume by now, you are very proficient in at least some parts of magic. I hope this book so far has increased your skill as a user of magic

l. The last topic of this book is how to cast spells without the names. Sometimes, there are times when you are a little too intoxicated and can't remember the spell or you need a desired effect instantly. You can imagine a spell that you've learned and just let your mind direct it through your wand without any vocal work but the spell's power will be greatly diminished, to the point where it can be very ineffective. This technique is commonly used for
emergencies, and is rather aimed for practical spells than combat. But in combat, it can provide a measly advantage.

ll. To perform this live-saving technique the user must first be very proficient of that certain spell. He/she must've performed it, and remember it's effect. This is the most vital step in this technique and is the main source of the spell's power. If you are using this technique with an unknown spell, the result will be no effect at all. But a skilled wizard/witch, can get a tiny effect if he/she knows the working behind multiple spells. Once you have the spell in mind, point your wand at the desired target and just let your energy flow with the spell very concentrated in your mind. Soon enough, you will notice an effect.

lll. Note that this technique is very advanced, and most third years cannot even perform it but a select few can harness it's potential. You must concentrate on the spell heavily, more than that of normal spells. You cannot let your mind stutter for a even just a moment or else you will fail. And that is the most advanced technique in this whole book.

I hope you have now been able to practice all of this techniques and now you are on your way to becoming a wonderful wizard. The next section is just for tips and tricks on how to improve your wizarding skills.

Tips
----------------------------------

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

This section is just a collection of many tips and tricks that may help you with these techniques.

✩ Holding your wand incorrectly can greatly diminish the strength of a spell, and goes by very unnoticed.

✩ There are many spells in the world that have Extended Incantations, sometimes they are just hidden well in books around the school. Including this one. You've learned the EI for the spell "Levorci."

✩ Many wizards/witches have a drive (something that keeps them going) for their magic. Wether it's trying to protect their friends, or trying to make their parents proud. However rage, is a very dangerous drive for your power.

✩ This techniques vary from person to person, and not everyone is the same.

✩ Slightly flicking the tip of your wand before casting a spell, can increase the strength a bit.

✩ When waving your wand, use your wrist to effectively maneuver the motions.
