Fort Hope, Antarctica

The Government saw Antarctica as a place they could potentially ride out the zombie apocalypse. The continent boasts no permanent residents, aside from several Pre-Apocalypse governmental installations. These installations are also heavily stocked with food and supplies. Also, we all know zombies do not know the first thing about layering. They would be toast at the first sign of a wintry gale force wind.... Well that was what the government had thought, but sadly it doesn't work like that.

Most of the surviving world leaders and Wealthy citizens were able to survive most of the apocalypse by going to the Several governments Colonies, but as we all know all it takes is one infected and here comes an apocalypse.

Fort Newhope lays on the far north of Antarctica, bordering the Ocean, last month it had 2,000 living residents and allot of supplies, but there has been on communication with this fort since. FVZA, along with other surviving government militaries are going to send four groups of 15 Elite soldiers into this complex, possibly to find out what happened to the people of this base, and save the survivors.

Sage and Andrei

Sage watched Kade walked in and then ran back out, dragging Trip down under into the dining room with her and closed the door behind. Then she looked at the big stone fireplace at the head of the room, seeing it was empty of wood. Sage took some chairs and started to break them apart into smaller pieces then threw them into the fireplace. She used table clothes as kindling then looked around for something to light it all with. Feeling on top of the fireplace she found a small packet of matches and lit the fire, a warm red glow coming from the roaring flames. Sage backed away and then went to the bedrooms, taking some chairs with her and lighting the three other fireplaces in there. On her way back Sage grabbed a pile of blankets and brought them back to the dining room for Trip and herself, seeing Kade already had some. "I couldnt find any other clothes" She whispered, holding out two more bathrobes. "We will have to find some at the fort when we dock in a few hours." Andrei said as he closed the door behind him, carrying another blanket. He put it over Sage's shoulders and rubbed her arms, standing behind her. Sage's skin started to prickle and she froze where she was, not moving. "The boat is set on course to reach the dock in a few hours as long as we dont hit any ice bergs." Andrei had in fact used a small metal weight tied to the bottom of the wheel so they stayed on a straight course through the ice. They werent going as fast as before, since he wasnt at the helm Andrei felt it was safer to lower the speed of the boat.

Ian Mitchells & Trip Marquis

Trip sighed and pulled off the blanket. "I don't need it." he mumbled as he handed the blanket to Sage. "You obviously need it more than I do. So here." he continued, blushing a bit.

I'm going to die..there's not doubt about it. That whore, Elizabeth left me here to die away. How long has it been now? Two, three weeks? Danmitt, I don't want to die, but there's been these...vampires roaming around. I even saw one maul a human to death. I'm not going to die just so I could be a meal for some bloodsucker. Ian's thoughts were racing as he trudged in the deep snow. He fell to his knees for the fifth time in a row, only this time he coughed up dark red blood into the snow. "I can't let those bloodsuckers smell this." He got up quickly and started to run as fast as he could away from the small puddle of blood. The end can't be this close, can it? His vision started to become hazy as he sat down behind a large hill of snow and ice. He started to cough up more and more blood. He stumbled to get up, but fell face first into the snow. "F*ck me.." he mumbled as he got up again and kept walking. "At this rate there's going to be a hoard of blood suckers after me."

It had been days since the cargo ship crashed, leaving Boniface and her two trusty companions - Patch and Scratch - to find a safe place. A series of crashing had stranded many in the frozen wasteland of Antarctica. She had helped a few other survivors out of the wreckage before they started their search but the stabbing cold slowly drained Bo of her energy. The few survivors that were left had been doing a lot worse due to their need of warmth and food. It pained her to do it but she put the few humans out of their misery and drank what she could. Patch and Scratch were beginning to move slower and became more silent. The canines' barks had seized and their wet noses were thick with ice. Crunch. Crunch. Stepping in the snow made a sickening sound - almost like the breaking of bones. Patch whimpered and fell onto his side while Scratch licked at his brother's ears. "D-d-don't worry boys. We will find shelter soon enough." The woman's teeth clicked together painfully as the wind blew against her frozen cheeks. The natural blush of her lively skin had vanished and was almost as white as her surroundings. Patch struggled back onto his four paws and limped his way behind his master. Then she could smell it. Wind carried the delicious copper smell of the red liquid that kept Boniface alive. Her pupils dilated and instincts kicked in. The German Shepards must have smelled it in the air as well, for the began to run towards the source along with the now animalistic woman. That's when she saw the figure not too far away. She pounced, landing on the man and attempted to bite at his neck with no prevail due to his difficult clothing.

Ian fell into the snow, attempting to get the women off of him. He didn't have the strength at the moment to make her get off, as he started to cough up more dark red blood into the clean white snow. He struggled to get out from under her but it was no use. "Mother of god, get off of me women!" he yelled as he tried to avoid the dogs.

Kade noticed how cold Sage seemed to be. He took off one of his blankets and wrapped it around her, adding to the pile already on her shoulders. As he gently rubbed her arms, he looked up at Andrei.
"Will we be running into more bloodsuckers at this fort?" he asked. His supply of stakes was now dangerously low and he wanted to know if he needed to make more.

"Because I don't have any."

Hearing the man's voice shook Boniface from her trance. "Oh my! I apologize!" Rolling off the man, she noticed the bloodstained snow beneath the group."A-a-are you alright?" Expertly she flipped the man onto his back and checked for any vital signs of illness. "Seems to be coughing blood and severe paling of the skin. Subject should not be making any unnecessary movements if possible," she noted to herself. Bo pointed to both sides of the man before shouting, "Hek! Aviouso. Geali a dli!" The two furry caretakers positioned themselves on either side of Ian and curled up next to his body to share their warmth. Patch licked at the man's face, leaving a trail of warm saliva behind. Bo held the man's right hand and checked for a pulse. Slow, very slow. Trying to stay focused was extremely hard as a result from the sweet smelling blood just under her nose. Her white lips quivered as the glistening trail of red rolled down Ian's lip. Just one bite. That's all I need to stay alive, she thought. Scratch seemed to know what had been bothering her and nudged her hand with his snout. "Thank you, Scratch. Do you happen to know of any shelter around these parts?" Boniface only wanted the stranger to say what was needed to prevent life drain.

It didn't take him long to realize she was a vampire. He quickly stumbled and get up, considering running away. He just sighed and decided to answer. "Y-Yes..I think. I don't know much of these parts but there should be a fort up north." His vision went hazy as he stumbled back into the snow, coughing up more blood. Patch and Scratch tried to approach him but he backed away from them both.

A few hours after the landing of her plane, Blake found herself trudging through the knee deep snow alone, the other survivors long gone. As a gust of wind threatened to knock the child off her feet, she wrapped the white fur coat she had stolen from one of the passengers tighter around herself. She was surprised how well it fit her and was relieved to have it. Though vampires could fair the cold much better than most humans, the biting frost of Antarctica was nearly too much for this young one to bare.
The smell of fresh warm blood reached her nose, carried on the freezing air. She licked her lips and started heading in the direction the smell came from, sniffing out the source like a dog. Pulling her hood up to cover her hair so she almost perfectly blended into the snow, she wondered what could be bleeding.
A rabbit? A wolf? Whatever it is, it smells good.

Patch and Scratch were stopped with a raise of Bo's hand."Well if there is a fort we need to get you to it as quickly as possible." Boniface approached the man and without consent wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled their sides together. It was mostly for warmth but it was also to give the man a bit of a break after loosing a significant amount of blood. "Hek, hek. Tequi adruit mi Patch and Scratch." Her companions stood ready on either side of their superiors , ready to lunge if they had to. Boniface knew that the blood would attract any vampires within a good five mile radius. Not wanting to take any chances, she kicked up the snow that had been covered in blood so it would be harder to track. "Once we get to that fort I'll fix you up." Bo struggled to walk with the man at her side but wouldn't stop to let him refuse. Each breath was pushed out with effort, creating a vapor that reminded Boniface of when she had spent winters with the Cherokee woman in America.

Ian wasn't sure about staying with her, with her being a vampire. He didn't know if she was just acting so she could get some of his blood or if she really did. His eyes turned to her as they kept walking, eying down the dogs. Those dogs better not get any ideas.." he thought as he almost stumbled while walking. "Are you just acting so you can have my blood? You can have it, I don't really care." he admitted. He knew he wasn't going to survive so he had might as well give his blood to someone who needed it.

Blake slowed down as the smell began to fade. Confused, she continued on her current path until she reached the stained snow. Most of it had been covered by fresh snow, possibly by whatever was bleeding, masking the smell a bit. She looked around for the source, squinting in an attempt to see better. In the distance, obscured by the falling snow, were two human figures walking away from her. Two smaller figures walked with them, dogs probably. Curious as to where they could be headed, Blake followed them at a safe distance, watching and straining her ears to listen.

Boniface wrinkled her nose, quite offended by what Ian had suggested. Even if she was offended she knew it was because of her horrible first impression. "I'm not going to drink from you. I'll kill an animal if I must." Boniface then remembered that she hadn't told him what she was. "How did you know?" Patch froze and darted around - looking to where they had just came from. Scratch did the same and they both began to bark in the general direction of a small silhouette. Dropping Ian, she pulled the bow and an arrow from their places and aimed at the unknown being. "Do not be a coward. Show yourself immediately or you should have an arrow imbedded in your heart." The two beasts let out low growls and showed their sharp teeth. They knew that if the being did not follow Bon's directions they may have to rip a few limbs.

Blake jumped, surprised that she had been discovered. She straightened up slowly as the dogs growled at her, lowering her hood to reveal her curly red hair that stood out against the white snow. Her eyes caught on the arrow aimed at her while she tucked her hands in her pockets, fingering the hilts of her thowing knives she kept in there. The arrow wouldn't kill her, no matter where it hit. That was one advantage of being a vampire. However, it would slow her down and cause a great amount of pain; something she could not afford in this harsh weather.
"I'm not a coward." she said fiercely, offended by the word.

Ian turned around, annoyed by the presence of the second vampire. "If your not a coward then get your *ss over here and join the party." he yelled sarcastically back at her, his natural British accent leaking out once again. He started coughing up more blood into his glove, feeling weaker than before.
