Most of the deserted Island is filled with deciduous forest that has hold of monsters never-before Seen in this world and only found on this island!
Such beauty....

  Aiko flew over the wilderness, when she found what she was looking for she lowered her altitude and prepared to land. Once she had landed she folded her wing so Ferai could jump off and land on the ground next to her.
What do you think we will find today?Ferai jumped to the ground, bending her knees to soften the shock of landing, she patted Aiko on the shoulder. "I guess we'll find out now won't we?" She began to walk through the tall grass heading for the trees ahead. "Have you thought about what I said earlier?" About going back home to the village of dragons? Yes I have thought about it. She sighed and remained silent for awhile longer. Perhaps I shall go, but only if you return with me, I'm sure the elder dragons would like to see you again."Of course, I would like to see them again as well." She smiled as she heard a strange call from one of the creatures within the trees. "Now let's see what we can find."

((Couple hour skip))
While Aiko held the strange, and quite large, cat-like creature down Ferai examined it. They had been tracking it for awhile, What do you think?
Ferai had just finished examining the creature, "Let her go," Aiko let the cat-like creature though as it just looked at them both then ran back amongst the trees. "Nothing like I've ever seen. I don't even think its carniverous." She shrugged then jumped onto Aiko's back. "Let's head home."
Aiko jumped into the air pumping her wings to lift them higher into the air, then turned leaving the forest behind.

Just then, A Loud crackle could be heard from the brush. It sounded as though a tree had just fallen.

Aiko stopped mid-flight, her head whirling around in the direction of the sound, tipping her wing to the left circling around heading back to where they were previously landed.Ferai sensed her intent, "Stay airborne Aiko, we don't know what's making that noise." She pointed towards where the noise may have come from, "Circle that area, I think that's where the crackle noise has come from. If nothing appears then we can land and check it out, but stay alert." She nodded and circled the area keeping an eye out for anything suspicious, she flew low but high enough that if anything surfaced from the trees they would possibly see it before it came at them.

Apparently, It had been a Gastrolapod! This was a very VERY Rare sight to see, especially on a forest, But things such as this weren't uncommon.
The Gastrolapod had passed into an open area, And was looking for some Herbs. The Beast is an Omnivore, but prefers the taste of Plants over Meat.
It would make a noise, as if it were breathing out as hard as it could, Then it lied down, pulling up some plants from the ground that seemed edible, and stuffed it within it's mouth.

Curious about the strange creature Ferai motioned for Aiko to land a safe distance from the creature, upon landing Ferai slid off Aiko's shoulder and landed on the ground careful not to alert the creature. If that's what I think it is then we are very lucky indeed to see a rare creature.
Aiko had never stopped looking at the creature, What is it and how do you know of it? Aiko herself had never seen anything like it.
I was reading a book once many years ago about strange creatures. There was very little said about it, but I do not think it would harm us. Or so she had hoped, she wanted to get a closer look at it, I'll be right back.
Be careful.
She nodded and moved in for a closer look. She made sure to stay at least 50ft or more away from it not wanting to startle it away. The creature was very rare so she wanted to take this opportunity to examine it as much as possible.

Lonel walked along the forest, not really sure where he was headed, but as long as it lead him somewhere, thats all that mattered to him.

The Creature hadn't Taken a notice to Ferai's Appearance, so it continued on with it's Harvesting. However, Something strange was happening, as the Island would have began to shake. Was the Volcano Erupting?

Lonel stopped walking and felt the earth trembling. He started looking around to see if anything was causing it. He didn`t what to do, or what he could do. He stood there waiting to see if anything was causing the quake.

As Ferai studied and watched the creature the ground began to shake and she had to crouch low to the ground and use her hands for balance. Aiko! What's going on?The dragon dug her claws deep into the earth and spread her wings to hold her balance as the earth began shaking. I don't know. The only explanation I would have is the volcano. She looked off in the direction of the volcano. Surly it could not be erupting. She looked at her rider, Could it?Ferai shook her head, I don't know, but if it was going to erupt then we would have been able to see the signs and warn the others on the island. I remember seeing none, do you? She watched as Aiko shook her head, Let's wait it out to see if it subsides, if not then we will have to get airborne and check out what's happening.

Lonel could not stand around any longer. He quickly continued onward, he made noise as he continued and did not notice that he was attracting attention to creatures in the forest. He still did not know where he was going but he could not wait anymore.

Ferai let's go! I don't want to be on the ground anymore lets get airborn, now!
She didn't argue and got to her feet, she had to wave her arms out at the side to keep her balance, or try to, then she moved to a run. She got part way to Aiko before a shake made her fall to the left. She did not make it to the ground, curious she found Aiko was holding her up with her tail and using it as a rail she moved along it til she got to her then climbed onto her back and strapped herself in. "Let's go!"
Aiko was already getting ready to pounce into the air even as Ferai said to go. With a great heave of her back legs she was off the ground and beat her wings furiously til they were airborn. Much better.
It took her awhile to shake off the feeling of being shaken, then looked down on the ground and the small meadow they were now flying over. "Well today didn't exactly go as planned." She looked towards the volcano, "And there's no smoke, or debri flying through the air, showing signs that the volcano had erupted." If it wasn't the volcano then what just happened?

As Lonel continued he noticed a shadow on the ground from above, he looked up and saw a dragon fly by, "Could that dragon have something to do with the trembling." The dragon was too high up for him to do anything, so he headed in the same direction as the dragon.

What now?
Ferai thought for awhile, "Let's head to the base of the volcano. It's risky but we should hopefully be able to get away alive if we need to."
Aiko looked back, How very comforting. Sure they would get away alive but not unscathed. She growled, and turned heading for the direction of the volcano base. I will land one hundred feet away from the base of the volcano. No closer.
She sighed, "Alright."
