Yes it's the ever popular introduce yourself page where you, well, introduce yourself. I'll start (mind you there is no specific format in which you should introduce yourself but certain things should be included. If you choose to copy and paste the way in which I post my introduction feel free).

Name: Styrofoam Hallucination aka Styro
Age: 20
Gender: Female
From: Somewhere in Canada

Preferred art mediums: Creative writing, sketching, and sculpting

Short bit about myself: I lead an exciting life of nothingness. I have a crap job and a cheap apartment. I hope to be published someday and would very much like this guild to be a success.

See? Was that so hard? Of course not, but just to keep it interesting let's add an artistic quirk. Know what that is? A strange habit you have while, well, doing whatever it is you do.

My strange artistic quirk: I hum christmas carols while sketching, usually frosty the snowman or rocking around the christmas tree. Why? I have no friggin idea. Maybe I'm insane. ninja

Hello, I am JJ, or John if you preffer. I have no idea why I was asked to join this guild, but I am glad I was. I am a wrriter, both of prose and poetry, and can honestly say that the art of using words in more ingrained into my life and soul than anything else I do.

I work as a mascot for dunkin' donuts, and live in a one bedroom apartment with my mom in phoenix arizona. When not writing, I am watching anime, messing around on the internet, or going on walks. I miss living in the country a good deal.

My artistic idiosyncrisy is that I usually need to be chewing on something or grinding my teeth while I work. Pen caps and straws are my most common victims.

Greetings and Hello, The name is Cookie Icer, you may call me what you wish, Cookie, Mr. Icer, that guy with the Gnome, whatever suits your fancy. Currently I'm living in Japan and work as an English teacher.

ARTISTIC BACKGROUND: I got my degree in Media Arts, (TV and Radio Broadcasting) So officially you can say my main art style is film. I am also a trained film critic who has spent time as a test audience member, giving feedback and reviews to the studio's on such films as; Chronicles of Riddick, Bend it like Beckham, Alien vs. Predator, Daredevil, and many others.

While in college I spent a few semesters in art, I have done different kinds of 3 dimensional and 2 dimensional arts, pen and ink drawing is probably my favorite medium.

I used to be a professional dancer, performing in Native American dances and Capoeira Martial arts. Music wise I used to play the Trumpet and Berimbau (A Brazilian instrument used for Capoeira)

WHAT I'M CURRENTLY DOING IN ART?: I want to learn how to play a new instrument, so I have recently began learning the violin. When I finish my contract in Japan I plan on returning to the states and will attempt to get into the film industry.

ARTYSTIC QUIRK: I suppose my biggest one is in most of my college films I try and hide in my video's somewhere my Plush Tonberry from the Final Fantasy Series.

Hi JJ/ John, and thank you for being the first to use the introduction page! The reason I invited you to the guild was because while stalking many different forums looking for interesting/ talented/ artistic people (recruiting has been slow- I don't think anyone is paying attention to my adverts.) I stumblind across a very simple yet intriguing poem written by you, "Dancing Flame". It was rough around the edges but I couldn't help but enjoy it immensely. On a side note you managed to tie in the girl very well with each stanza even in the end when you brought the entire poem round circle.

dunkin' donuts eh? How is that? I bet you get to meet a variety of people- probably useful for character development!

Anyway welcome to the guild! whee

Thank you for the kind words, styro. Oddly enough that is only about the fifth poem I have ever written. I am a prose writer mostly and I hope you enjoy that part of my work as much. I will, however, put up more poems as well, since I have been doing more of them. Also, welcome to the forums, Mr. Icer.

As for tying the girl in, she was important to the theme of the poem, that being that pleasures are fleeting but stay with you regardless.

Thank you both for the welcome and the invite. I will do my best to help this guild grow and succeed. Though whether if I post in the music forum or not I suppose will depend on how good I get with the Violin. I had a setback when I went out, got a used Violin and found out it needed a little body work. It has been in the music repair store for the past week, hopefully I'll get it back tomorrow.

Unfortunately another set back was when I got my violin, the last class the music school offered that fit around my schedule filled up. I found a few co-workers who have some Violin experience and they both said they will help me get started. It will be a while until I get good enough to post something postworthy, but will contribute where I can, and I look forward to seeing the art you both can bring to the table as well.

The theme was well constructed with in the poem, good job to you and I hope you do continue with more poetry- you are fairly skilled with it!

See what I hope for this guild is that many branches of art will come together- perhaps you'll meet someone who could aid you with the violin. What made you decide to play the violin? It's a beautiful instrument of course- difficult to master but the outcome is always worth it

I've always enjoyed playing music, just from a hobby perspective. In grade school I played the Trumpet in the school band, in recent years I've played the Berimbau for Capoeira. And thought it was time to learn something new. I've always enjoyed the Violin and love Violin music. (Any woman who can play the Violin well is the sexiest thing ever for me and will have me melting like butter.) But I digress, So I decided to try and learn it myself.

*comes in half dancing* lalalal mrgreen

ninja

alright introductions.

I'm tox. Also know in other places as JayJay, Blonde and Joy.

kill and fraex don't cut it... I am the tox and nothing else!
I'm around 20 years old now and I've been dabbling in arts on and of since I was 6 seriously when I was 13 when I joined a model class. I love realism and tend to silently bash on anime if I see the artist behind it is ful of excuses and needs to practice proper humans first.
I don't not like the excuse 'but I'm only good at anime' because if you suck completely at normal humans you also suck @ anime. So if anybody ever wants advice from me take that as a warning. =3

I don't have a job and recently graduated as a bachelor in applied computer sciences *hugs her temporary degree proof* and I just applied to take a three year course for Digital arts and entertainment, which basically is game development + character design + storyboarding + 3D design + ... well I think you get the gist. It's a whole lot of things.

Currently I'm great with traditional portraits, more so if I have a reference, even though I have some size issues =3 I'm working on my bodies with gesture sketches and for the first time this year I really put my head into digitally colored work.

I love fanatsy art, sci-fi, steampunk and anything that involves magic and or circuitry. I love Luis Royo as an example and I rock out on baby stomping hard a** electronic industrial stuffs and let myself be inspired by movies, books and cartoons of all sort.

Also right now I'm going through a cybernetic period. I draw allot of humans influenced by some sort of implantation/augmentation whether it's extensive or modest.

Greetings, Tox, and welcome to you. I am looking forward to seeing your work. The cybernetics thing seems really very interesting.

I am Astrauld, or Adam, if you prefer that. I am a fifteen year old avid writer, an owner of an active writing guild. I was invited to this guild because of my skill in writing, which gives me a sense of optimistic hope that I have a chance in the literary industry. I hope to get to know you all soon.

Hello you two good to have more writers abroad. And my advice to my fifteen year old compadre, start learning all you can now, the literary industry is tough, and hard to get into even if you are good. Dexcel, do youlive anywhere in or near arizona? Even if not, I can relate to the superheatedness of such a place as you live in.
