Texas Hold 'EmHow The Game Works
If you've ever played Texas Hold 'Em, then this should be easy for you. If not, no worries. It is a LOT easier than it seems.
House (me) will roll 3d20 (the Flop). Players (you) get to play off these three cards how ever they may work for you.
Players (you) will roll 2d20. Use these two cards along with the 3 from the Flop. You may edit your post to state what your hand is. (Please say "Edit: " when doing it.)
When using a Wild Card place (w) next to the number you are using.
NOTE: Only read the individual dice rolls, not the total number.
Anything over 13 is a Wild Card
1 - Ace (low)
11 - Jack
12 - Queen
13 - King
14+ Wild = Players may even use the House Wild cards for whatever they need.
Example:
House Rolls 1d20 (Flop): 1, 3, 5
Player1 Rolls: 11, 16 (this card is Wild)
Translates: Jack, Jack (w)
Player2 Rolls: 13, 6
Translates: King, 6
Player's can now 'bid' to see the next card. You will be bidding gold in increments set by the Game Master (GM). Player 1 bids first, then Player 2. Players may also Hold. If all players Hold, the round ends and players must reveal their hands. (See Holding & Revealing Below). For now we will assume everyone bids.
House Rolls 1d20 (this add's 1 more card to the Flop for you to play from): 1, 3, 5, 17(wild)
Player's hands may look something like this now:
Player 1: 11, 16,
17 (from dealer)
Translates: Jack, Jack (w), Jack (w) - 3 of a kind
Player2 Rolls: 13 (discards), 6,
3, 5, 17 (from dealer)
Edits: 3, 4(w), 5 - Short Straight (see Alternate House Rules)
Players bid again to see final Flop.
House Rolls 1d20: 1, 3, 5, 17, 2
Players now use their 2 cards, and all 5 cards of the flop to make a hand. You can discard ONE card from your own hand. (As Player 2 did) Max of 5 cards in your final hand.
Player 1: 11, 16,
17 (from dealer)
Translates: Jack, Jack (w), Jack (w) - 3 of a kind
Player2 Rolls: 13 (discards), 6,
3, 5, 17, 2 (from dealer)
Edits: 1, 2, 3, 4(w), 5 - Straight
Player 2 would win the round.
Game continues until only 1 player is left, or all prizes have been won.
(Real Texas Hold 'Em game rules modified for the limitations of Gaia. )
When the game is over, GM will tally up each player's "Bids". Trades are to be sent to the Mule titled "THE Bid". Winner(s) will not receive prizes until the GM has accounted for all the Bids. If you didn't win, you still need to send your Bid, or you will be punished.
ALTERNATE HOUSE RULES1. Short Straights: Short Straights is a run of 3 cards.
2. Small Straights: Small straights are runs of 4 cards.
3. No Wilds: Any number over 13 (14+) is discarded and rerolled.
4. GM doesn't take Bids and gives Flops for free.
