I'm not too big on coffee, but give me a glass of milk and I'll be content for a while.
Well. I remember the first time I played Booty Grab, probably about 3 years ago on an old account, that watermeats were the best fish out there and you could make a lot of gold if you played tanks with full watermeats or full of mermaids. I also seem to remember making a lot more gold in an hour than I do now. I sort of miss those days, but I like the variety now with the dolphins and airsharks and all those different mini monsters. I quit Gaia shortly after discovering Booty Grab and didn't come back until this past year so when I came back there were already a lot of changes. There were so many new fish and everyone had these glow timers and there were all these stats about all the different fish. It also cost Gaia cash to buy the fish which I didn't like because you actually had to use real money and the only other option is to save up a couple hundred thousand gold to buy one fish off the mp. In short I like the new variety of fish, but not the fact that you either have to use real money to buy them or spend millions in gold to get them off the mp.

Hey can I have some water please and will be all
We'll when i first played booty grab was the second year Gaia started and pretty much the fish were a low selection it was only like the starfish, lazor fish, jelly fish, and some olthers but really not that much to choose from or play but then i got hacked and quit playing for quite some time then when i got back on the items when sky high and the fish did also but the selection of the fish got better then me tell you that but then i started making my tank again and so i had a much bigger selection so yeah that's how fish actually changed in prices and species.

Can I have a Red Velvet Cake and a Cappuccino please
I haven't been to Gaia long enough to actually give a well evaluated feedback, and I have only been seriously playing booty grab just for a year.
After reading A Nerdfighter's comment that she used to make more money before than now, I should have played booty grab before.
I find booty grab to be a really good source of Gaia Gold if you just play other people's tank. But as an owner I find it less profitable unless you have the high gold giving monsters such as airsharks, dolphins and coatls...and you need a lot of tank marketing and advertisement (like asking and accepting invites, bumping your own thread and bumping on other's thread). When I have the other mini monster fish, I felt like I didn't make enough to compensate for the gold I spent to buy the fishes.
As of the changes in Booty Grab and it's impact to Gaia Economy, I really does not have much to say. I don't know how the fishes cost.

Some orange juice would be nice, yes. ^^
I came back to Gaia not too long ago, after a hiatus of at least a few years. Back then, I only kept cute fish in my tank. I had no idea there was this whole.. community? Based on making money off of each other's fish. I'm starting up my own tank now after playing Booty Grab for so many others, and now I realize it's actually kind of hard to make money off your own tank unless you have expensive fish ^^;; and sometimes people with expensive fish don't even break even. I wonder how the next wave of mini monsters is going to affect the tanks next. :>

I remember when Booty Grab was first released. It changed Gaia big time. I still had access to my first account and it was different. Lots of jokes about it and people wondering if it would stick around or not. I think I caught more fish, pink boxes and other items back than that dropped down than I have now. I miss catching random items and fish. Some of the fish and items I caught than I could not afford. Would not mind them bringing that feature back more. Plus a couple of the items I caught were cash items. They were rare and in between but they use to drop from the tank top. I do not know how many others got lucky for a rare item or cash item to drop but it was fun. I was looking forward to catching those items.
The ratio of gold you win from it is interesting. I have been keeping a running journal with how much, if anything has dropped and whose tank in my journal and I have a full spread sheet that shows all my grabs and ratios for tank towards owner saved on my computer. If curious you can always go to my profile and than reference guide and to booty grab and browse through it. Every tank I have grabbed since I created it is listed right there and how much I grabbed off it. When I grab a tank it is listed. It is divided by the month and than it list the day and under each day whose tanks I have grabbed, how much, and if they belong to a guild I am in. My spreadsheet is more complicated than my online journal version.
But it gives a rough about what you can earn a day and how many tanks it took to earn that. Links back to people's bump screens to, so if you want to see if there tank is glowing you can.

Hello. Can I have a strawberry lemonade and an apple cinnomon crumb muffin.
I have only had my tank for about 2 months as I never knew the potential profits from owning one. I had been playing other tanks for a lot longer. It's hard for me to evaluate the changes made to Booty Grab because I played off and on over the years. I was around (I'm a mule btw) when BG first released but only remember very little in how much gold I made per tank.
*Delicious lemonade, very refreshing.*

I'd like a scone please. I've never had one before, but I'd love to try one! mrgreen
Building off of what MistyMary24 said, I also remember getting items that dropped from the top of the tank. I had forgotten about it since it seems like so long ago. I got some pretty rare items that I could either keep, but mostly I sold them on the mp to make some gold. Now it seems like the items fish drop are worth nothing. Enki's Catch basically only has alchemy items in it which are good if you're into alchemy, but both the items in it and the Enki's catch have low gold values. PMG gets you around the same amount of gold on the mp and you can get an item that you can sell for a good amount of gold, but most of the time that isn't the case. Recently the only other item I have gotten is a hermit cat which are horrible fish for tanks looking to make a profit and you barely make anything off of them in the mp.
I think that Gaia should bring back when they used to drop rare items from the top of the tank. It doesn't have to be every time someone plays a tank, but every now and then. Like every 1,000 or 10,000 times the game is played.
