I had an interesting and funny discussion with my mother. Basically one of her friends was going to roller-skate to Boston for her class reunion, because she loves to roller-skate. Because this there is danger in this my mother said that she wanted the woman to wear her cross that was blessed by the Pope. After a little persuasion the lady accepted the offer for my mother's peace of mind. After she left I turned to my mother, grinned and said, "A talisman by any other name" "Not talisman, Sacramental." She replied.
"A talisman by any other name." My grin widened
"No, a sacramental is a tool to strengthen the faith of the believer and protect them"
"A talisman by any other name."
