That is great that you read a lot. I am doing better but it is still hard. I read a psalms a day. I was reading in Genesis and God made a promise with a bright rainbow and then walked outside and saw a rainbow. it was great! that was where my devos book had taken me. I then relized God had taken me there and not the devos book.

I've been reading out of Psalms a lot lately...but honestly I need to start reading out of other areas. I may read through the story of Esther and the story or Ruth again, those are my two favorite books of the Bible. I was reading Revelations, but...it's too much for me to wrap my head around honestly. So I went back to Psalms and Proverbs.

I might also go back to the song of Solomon. We did a Bible study on that book, and about how everything in it actually relates to our relationship with Jesus. It was pretty interesting stuff. :3

God is my strength... "Psalms 28:7"

on my own I am reading through 2nd Chronicles right now and a proverb a day.

Through a daily bible study with DivorceCare I am reading through some Psalms. The last one was Psalm 52 I believe.

...God is my joy "Psalms 96:11-13"

Great qestion, John is a great place to start. That is where I personally started. Then after that I read some Psalms and some Proverbs.
