Welcome to the guild! To start off, there are some important rules that we must go by in order to ensure the guild is a safe, peaceful, and friendly environment for all members:

~Follow Gaia's Safety Tips: http://www.gaiaonline.com/info/legal/safety

~Please respect all members (including crew and administration) and treat each other with kindness and patience.

~Ridiculing, harassing, and disrespecting other members in any way is prohibited.

~No swearing, cursing, or using God's name in vain (including derivatives of these words - a different word used to sound innocent, but carries the same meaning as the offending word). Also using symbols to represent a curse word is not allowed. If you are unsure of what word(s) count(s) as a cursing, swearing, or taking God's name in vain - please send a PM to the captain to make sure a word is okay before you use it.:

~Please be as literate as you possibly can. Any type of 133tsp34k (leetspeak) is not allowed.

~Spamming is not allowed! I'm mostly talking about chain messages and posting the same exact post word for word over and over again (this does include bumping unless the creator of a thread mentions that bumping is okay)!

~Please, DO NOT create a topic and then later edit and delete the title of the post so that the topic is unable to be clicked or accessed by guild administration! This is considered spam because it becomes a useless thread that simply exists and takes up unnecessary space. If you have a topic that needs to be deleted, please contact the guild captain!

~Do not share any personal information that people may use to find you in real life for your own safety and also because it's part of Gaia's ToS, Rules & Guidelines, and Safety Tips. (Violating this is counted as a strike because it is strongly prohibited, and I can't always be online to edit personal information out of a post, and this can possibly end up in personal information being used by others for ill-intentioned purposes. This is a matter of concern for safety). Examples of this are your full name, your phone number, your home address, mailing address, etc. Take extra precaution when posting other information like the school you go to, or the name of the company you work for. It doesn't specify you can't share these in Gaia's ToS, but realize that people can easily find your location by this information through an online search engine.

~For Crew and Administation: If any crew or administrative member are found to be breaking rules or abusing their position of authority in the guild (such as deleting posts/topics for no reason, editing posts unacceptably, banning users from the guild, etc.) will be demoted and possibly banned.

Other important information:

~Guild moderators have the authority to delete/remove your post or thread if any of the above rules were broken in that post/thread.

~Guild moderators also have the right to ban repeated offenders from the guild if rules are broken.

~We work by a "3 strike" system. This means that for anyone who breaks the rules 3 times in a row/gets 3 warnings will be banned (meaning the 3rd warning will result in a ban). To make it fair on our part, we will give you a warning by PM (if PM is blocked, we will address it to you in a quote on the forums).

~The guild captain reserves the right to ban members if necessary before they get to strike 3.

~As guild moderators, we want to make sure that the guild is as safe, friendly, and harassment free as possible. If members have ANY concerns, please address the captain, or whichever moderator you feel comfortable mentioning the issue to. We take issues and safety concerns in this guild seriously!

~For the crew and administration in this guild, I prefer them to make at least 5 posts a month! If there are times this requirement can't be met because life has been busy then don't worry about it. This is not an official rule. However, crew and administration that is inactive in the guild for over 2 months will be removed.

~Please do your best to respond and post as often as you are able to. This is not an official rule and it doesn't hurt you not to respond or post right away so feel free to take your time if needed. Also, if there is a topic you don't feel comfortable responding to then feel free to ignore it 3nodding Once again, this is not an official rule.
