[Breifing:207890023] Date:Sepetember 20th, 2484 Location: Unknown A few hours ago there was a strange explosion at one of our military labs. Your misson is to investage the cause of the explosion and resuce any survivors!. This is strictly S&R only! use of deadly force is prohibited. We don't need you getting trigger happy like last time Foxtrot. Use of military mechanized units are strictly transport only!. Get in, get out. [End Transmisson] Simmons sighed then spun away form the terminal then spoke to himself "Darn.. why do they always stick me with the lame jobs? I swear someone at Command hates me or something!" he proceeds to grab his trusty Beretta Ik-924 energy rifle and walked out of the barracks

Lyrica looked around and tried to find someone to ask where she is supposed to be, " Why did they have to put me in here now of all times. I mean common! I"m new here!" She trust her small gun up and hit someone in the head. "Oh! Sorry Simmons....heh...oppsie." She smiled weakly and put the gun away.

he grimaced slightly having had his fair share of head trauma he was used to the feeling but he was still gonna show some emotion."Ow! Watch where you point that thing!" he said in a high pitched voice then looked at his assailant. "Wait..you're new here aren't you?" he asked the female. "you have that look of confusion." he chuckled at his own joke

Lyrica looked at him, "Haha, yeah. You are Simmons right? I've heard a bit about you. Mostly from the other crew when I got here earlier...could you help me? I have no idea what I'm doing and don't know where to go..." she had to look up because she was short. She was used to it by now but she knew she was going to grow at least one more inch, so she was happy with it. She smiled at him and showed a small piece of aper showing the orders for her arival, but no instructions where to go.

He studied the piece of paper then looked at her. " I see. well if you didn't receive orders from higher up then i don't see a problem with you accompanying me on my mission." he told her then added, trying to look cool, "Top Secret stuff. I'll fill you in on it later, right now just follow me and act like you know what you're doing."

Lyrica looked at him, and tried to hide a smirk. 'Trying to act cool? heehee. silly. i'll play along.' She thought to herself " Kay. Uhm, you didn't answer my question though, you are Simmons right? My name is-" She was cut off by a small explosion in the East Corner.

he jerked his head in the direction of the sound and saw a building engulfed in flames with people running from it in sheer panic some of them were set ablaze by the explosion. "What the hell just happened?!" he exclaimed " We better check it out." he then proceeded toward the hellish inferno with his gun at ready

Lyrica looked at him in surprise, " Wait, move toward the random explosion? If I die, I'm soo going to haunt to Simmons." She said sulkingly following him closely. She tripped on what looked like a stick, but when she loked down at her foot, it grabbed her. "EEEK!!" She reached for her gun but it was stuck.

he heard her turned around looking for her expecting her to be waiting where he left her but he quickly spotted her on the ground struggling against something. he procceded to run over to her and help her up when he saw she had something around her foot so he drew his Python plasma knife and cut the object in half freeing her. "Get up and get moving!" he shouted above the chaos

She got herself together and ran to try and kep up with his fast pace, still wondering what was on her lag earlier.

he spotted what appeared to be a scientist clearly shaken from the explosion. " You! What the hell is going on here! Explain damnit!" the scientist took a moment then replied "th-they got out. Why? Why did we have to meddle in the affairs of gods!?" then began to descend into demenca. Simmons only shook his head a bit PO'd about what little they got out of him "Come on we're going in!" he shouted to Lyrica. "And get your damn pistol ready this is a real combat zone now. Expect hostiles! I cant always save your a**!" he then took off in a sprint toward the hellhole again

Lyrica looked dumbfounded. " Hey! Simmons!! HOw do I use this anyway?!" sHe shouted as she ran after him, easily keeping up for the first minute, and then had a cramp so she needed to stop. She looked up and realised she was catching her breath a moment to long, she was surounded by people that smelled like rotting corpses. "Ew, huh? AHH!!" She ugged her nose and when one of the things lunged at her, she barley dodged it. Trying to get her pistol out of its holder, it was stuck once again. "Crap! Why can't I ever get it out?!" She panicked and grabbed a long iron pipe and slugged it on the head and ran to find Simmons.

"where were you!? and what the hell is that smell?" he had his weapon in his hands ready in case anything jumped out. he noticed she was sweating hard and she was still fighting with her pistol case. "First day with a pistol? there's a security feature on the holster it reads fingerprint use that and it should unlock. Now hurry up and get ready!" he swore in his head if he made it out of this hell hole he would retire to someplace nice..like hawaii, yea hawaii.

"well consider this yoru first day of target practice if yo usee anything move shoot it. i dont care if it was human or the spirit of your dead grandma jsut shoot it!" he didnt glace over not really wanting to see what could cause such a horrid smell so he took off through the door of the burning building
