Jasmine ~ Nara "The Village Hidden in the Leaves is my safe dome," Jasmine tapped her fingers on the desk quickly. Her teacher was late. Again. Toklo was very laidback. He took life at its fullest, and didn't prioritize right. He was too loose to be a teacher. Too free. Too fun. Very, very fun. Jasmine tapped the desk louder, slightly annoyed. Jasmine felt like going home, but she really needed to learn this new jutsu. She had to grow and get stronger. The only jutsu she knew was her own signature jutsu. She would learn a jutsu or two at school, go home, show her parents and clan her signature jutsu, and maybe learn a clan jutsu or two.
The door opened quickly. A ninja stepped out heavily, clumsily. Toklo smiled to everyone. "Hey there! I was uh...late because I was getting you all lunch!" Toklo grinned awkwardly, for he was using an old excuse.
Jasmine chuckled quietly and leaned back in her chair, arms crossed. She looked at him humourously. "Then where is the lunch?"
Toklo gave her a quizzical look. He looked around nervously, as if thinking about a way to get out of the situation. He zoned out a little, thinking about a distraction or a way out. It seemed quite hopeless. Jasmine was not one to give him an easy time. She was intelligent, she arrived at school two hours early so she could read and wait for Toklo, so he couldn't come up with an excuse about that. She always had a comeback, the last word, and always won at the heat of an argument. Shikamaru had trouble defeating her at chess. She was a genius. She was undefeatable. He finally shrugged. Jasmine got him. Again. He sat at his desk, fingers laced under his chin. He waited for Jasmine to make a quick remark. She didn't. She simply pointed behind him, and he saw a scroll. He opened it up slowly. It read the list of jutsu she and the other students had to learn within this year. Toklo knew this generation, including Jasmine, would complete this list within a week or two.
He sighed as he rose from his comfortable position and wrote on the board behind him. He put chakra to his finger and drew symbols and people. He wrote a couple words down, removed chakra from his finger and stepped to the side. Written on the board was a general idea and description of Bushin no jutsu. Clone. Jasmine breathed in and out deeply. She had to make a clone. Alright. Toklo would let them read the board, think about it, and then Toklo would step in front of his desk and demonstrate. Simple. Jasmine only had to keep calm as she silently prayed she would not screw up on her first academy jutsu."The Will of Fire is my true home." Chakra Count: 526

 》》Kei Uchiha《《 "Don't underestimate ninja from Village Hidden in the leaves." Kei ran down the street, his bag bumping against the side of his leg. He was going to be an academy student today, and he needed to make sure he was ready to learn. He had a lunch, a notebook, kunai, and more in his little bag. He couldn't wait to make his family, clan, and village proud. He may not have unlocked his sharingan yet, but he practiced in all other areas at home so he could be ready.
Kei passed the cafe in his clan, which seemed like a blur to him. He was running really fast, he couldn't be late. He always feared something would delay him. He wasn't wrong. Kei barely stopped in time. A turtle was crossing the road. Kei was very superstitious, so crossing past a turtle or going around was rude and would bring bad luck. He would have to wait for the tutle to cross.
Kei watched nervously as the turtle took another miniscule step. Kei was dying at this point. The turtle wasn't half way across the road and ten minutes had passed. Kei would be late! Kei apologized to the turtle and picked him up. Technically, he wouldn't cross the turtle if it moved with him. Kei put the turtle in an empty pouch in his bag. Kei sighed with relief and continued on his adventure.
Kei kneeled down slightly and put his hand on the academy door, panting. He ran quite a bit. He stood there for a moment until he heard his teacher, Toklo, yelling 'sorry' as he ran across the street and stomped down the hallways to the academy room. Kei jumped by the noise and ran into the academy room and sat down next to Jasmine.
Toklo came in with his same excuses, and Jasmine countered with her same counters. Kei couldn't help but smile at this, since this was going to happen every day. Toklo finally cut it out and got professional. He wrote the jutsu they were going to have to complete down, which made Kei nervous to no end. What he failed? He would fail his friends, class, clan, and village. No. He couldn't fail. He wouldn't. He was an Uchiha. He couldn't give up, and he had to be brave. He could get through this. "If you do, you'll end up in the hospital or....jeez." Chakra Earned: 489
