Tips~

1. Be as literate as possible. Try to word check your post.
2. Try to mirror the literacy as your partner(s). If you role play worse or better, you can make them uncomfortable.
3. Make your post a little pretty. Color speech with your character's theme. You should always have a heading which is your character's name and maybe a title. Always post the picture to the side of the post. Quotes and extra pretty stuff is optional.
4. If you talk to someone's character, try not to leave or anything so they really can't reply. ~ Previous and this tip were added by June. PM me or Sierra so we can edit this with your tip.~

FAQ~


How do I become more literate?

Well, you should start by making sure you can role play correctly. Then, you should try to use little speech and more thoughts and actions. Too much speech can drown a post. Secondly, you will want to use bigger words instead of generic ones like mad or sad. Make sure you describe touch, feelings, sight, ect. Ensure that you have put a little bit of backstory or memory in each post if you are having a lot of trouble.

"War does not prove who is right, war proves who is left."


The small librarian walked out of her library to the front of the school where the new students were finally arriving. Claire saw that the principal was late. Again. Every year the principal went drinking the night before school started and the new students arrived, so she was always late. Claire sighed as she passed the cafeteria and proceeded to where the new students stood.

The front of the school was a beautiful sight. Claire never saw it often, because she didn't like being out in the sunlight. She preferred the company of her books. She stood around the school fountain. Lots of dimes and pennies shone in the bright water. Claire cleared her voice to the students. "Welcome to Lunar River Academy. Your principal is not present, and for that I am sorry. Come to my library so I may continue introducing you. I will give you a bit of a tour, but I will allow you to explore yourself."

Claire flinched under the sun and slowly stalked back to her library, watching out of the corner of her eye that they were following. After she noticed some were following, she quickened her pace to stay out of the sun as soon as possible.

"So fight with me and you will be a dead man."

What was done right:
Pretty post
Understandable words
Speech was colored and stood out
Not just action, but the post was giving lots of background information
Post matches character profile and personality

What was done wrong:
N/A - Nothing was done wrong, and since she was an NPC and was not talking to anyone directly, she could enter and leave in the same post.

Alice followed the librarian slowly, fluttering above. She walked inside the library before the librarian and laughed. "Haha you were to slow you witch"

What was right:
Picture, heading

What was wrong:
Posting color did not match theme
Everything was in color.*
No punctuation at speech
Misspelled words at speech
No ending at speech
Font too big compared to heading
Very small post compared to partner**
Post does not match character's personality or race(angels are kind)

*Now, this isn't bad or against the rules, but it does worsen the effect have having speech standout.

**Now, in a guild role play, this isn't too big of a deal, but with all the other errors and the post being two sentences was pretty bad.
