I dream up a lot of random story ideas in my spare time, so I've got an idea if you're interested. The story goes like this:
The main character is a girl named Eira. She is part of an organization of assassins called "Light", although it is mainly known in the underworld as simply "the Organization". Light is based in a chessboard hierarchy, where the lowest members are Pawns, followed by Rook, Bishop, Knight, and finally those with the highest skill level, the Queen and King. Eira is the Queen, and the second most powerful assassin in the organization. In between missions, Eira spends most of her time in the library. One day, however, a boy her age named Aaron comes over to talk to her, completely ignoring the fact that she wants to be alone. This continues to happen and over time, Eira warms up to him and the two become friends. Aaron reveals that his parents were both murdered, just as Eira's had been, and he is seeking revenge for the killer. Eira, hearing this, realizes that someone in the Organization was the killer of both of their parents. She decides to leave the Organization to fight them outright with Aaron by her side. Now, Light will do anything to get her back or kill her, along with the boy that took her away from the Organization.
It's a Shounen style manga, but it has romance in it too. Eira is a tsundere character who fights with knives, but is skilled in many different weapons. She is a perfect assassin, able to control her emotions, but that also makes her endearing because she isn't used to human interaction. Aaron is her polar opposite. He's warm and cheerful, but kind of a ditz. The normal Idiot Hero type with a dark past. He can also fight pretty well as a martial artist.

Wow, that was long. sweatdrop I really hope you like my idea. It would be really cool to see it as a manga.

Summary: Every 174 years, the Grand Primogenitor is able to grant any wish in his power and jurisdiction to a Great Hero. Renown warriors and peacemakers from across Emidius flock to Aurus, The Empire of Dreams, and have their worth judged. However, the Order of Krellin has no intention of waiting. For generations, the Krellin has attacked Aurus, with intentions of capturing the Grand Primogenitor's powers. In the year ARC9, the worst has been unvieled. The Order of Krellin has declared war on Aurus once again, in a time of economic termoil. 10 young warriors, Hime Myasa, a rogue Krellin Army gunner, 17-year old Krutz Vargi,son of the Great Hero Rakk Vargi, Arthus Bane, an experienced mechanic who builds airships for the Aurusian Army, Eil Oppenwelm, a genius girl with a broad knowledge of advanced weaponry, Alexis Euphoria, the only daughter of the Legendary Enyo family, Gamu Chakka, a native of the Endos Eastland, Joanathan Rockhardy, best friend of Krutz and expert marksman, Erin Ritna, a gardener and employee of the famous Ritna alchemy shop,Valentine Stenheart, childhood friend and rival to Alexis Euphoria, and Vaan Kurj, an associate of the Academy of Aurus and the teacher of class twenty.
These young warriors must set aside their differences and work together to defend their country against the imminent attack of the Order of Krellin. A great war is about ravash the fertile and plentiful lands of Emidius once again.
