Hi. I saw you talking to the twins over there and thought I should come over. They tend to get a little overly competitive. Especially sissy! I remember this one time... Huh? Oh ya, I just call her sissy; but mostly just to tease her, hahaha! Me? My name's Jamie Anderson. My dad runs the local PokeMart store for Alcove city.
Sorry, I forgot you only just got here. It's north east of Partright City, or just east of Zephyr Town. I forget we're in the intro still. Haha. My Pokemon's name is Hochi, the Chattot. I like to give names to all the pokemon I catch. Well, that is, if I ever catch anymore. Hochi is my only one, hahaha. But I'm happy to just have him hang around. Do you name your pokemon? Like what?
--->Yes
--->NoI guess every trainer has a different style. You should come by the PokeMart whenever you're in a new town and stalk up on pokemon supplies like potions and antidotes, just in case. ... ... No no, you got it all wrong! I forget that I use to make the same mistakes too. The Pokemon Center has a red roof with a giant P emblem on it so it's easy to spot. But the PokeMart has a blue roof with a regular pokeball emblem on it. A little more subtle, but easy enough to find. ... Huh? You mean you've never seen a regular old pokeball? I think I have some left. Let me see... Ya! They're right here!
[obtained 3 pokeballs]If you want to catch new pokemon, battle them first to tire them out and then throw a pokeball at them. If it works, the pokeball should click closed. If not, it'll just get tossed back to you and you can try again. There's a bunch of different kinds of pokeballs out there, and even a specialty store in Adell! Pretty cool huh? Oh ya! I almost forgot! We were doing a PokeMart promo anyways, so here.
[Obtained Premier Ball]That premier ball works just as well as a regular pokeball, the only real difference is it's coloring. We usually give one away when a trainer comes and buys a bunch of pokeballs as a free-bee. But our real promotion is for our latest import. Since you're new to the region and just starting out, I guess it won't hurt if I share just one with you.
[obtained the Heal Ball]Heal balls work great if you're lost and find a pokemon that's badly hurt. A heal ball will heal the pokemon it catches over time. In some situations, a heal ball could really save a pokemon's life! Great to have on hand if you're no where near a Pokemon Center right? I think it's cool that each Pokemon center is run by a Nurse Joy; makes remembering names a lot easier. ... What do I mean? Um... I guess you'd have to see it first. It's the same with Officer Jennys. You seem pretty smart, so I'm sure you'll figure it out.
PokeMarts, however, are run by different people from different towns. The Phior region is small, so a lot of our PokeMart prices are half of what other regions' are. Potions, pokeballs, and even Nectars! ... ... ... AHAHAHAHA! I'm sorry, I thought you were serious when you asked what a nectar was. ... ... ... What? You mean you're really serious!? You've never heard of pokemon Nectar!? My friend, have you been living in a cave all your life? Nectars are the Phior regions signature pokemon supply product! Other shoppes might have lemonade or soda pop just for pokemon, but they don't come close to Nectar! There's a variety of flavors that pokemon love, and they're really good for your pokemon too!

Coconut flavor wakes a pokemon who's been hit by sleep powder or other sleep attacks, and can make your pokemon feel just a little bit faster (minor speed boost).
Kiwi is great for healing ice burns, and can make your pokemon endure a little more (minor defense boost).
Peach-Apricot help sooth burns and heal quickly, and your pokemon might feel a little stronger when it uses it's own type attacks. (minor special attack boost).
Banana-Strawberry will get your pokemon out of being paralyzed, and it might look like your pokemon can take a few more hits (minor special defense boost).
Pinapple is great for combating poisons, and your pokemon might feel a little more healthy overall (minor health boost).
Then finally, there's mango, which helps with things like confusion, and your pokemon might feel a bit stronger than it used to (minor attack boost).
Oh! I almost forgot about Pear flavor, which helps a pokemon recover its energy after a battle like any other potion. But Nectar works from the inside so a lot of people think its better.
So you can see why the local trainers here prefer Nectar over the other pokemon supplies. Pokemon seem happier when they get Nectar as opposed to being stuffed with medicines and vitamins. Not to mention it saves room in your pack when you travel, and even humans can drink it for a boost of energy! But it does get a little expensive... for the price of a hyper potion, you could get only one nectar. So you see why a lot of trainers who come from different regions aren't really Nectar enthusiasts. It's different from normal and costs a little more than some budgets.
Let's see... Any more advice... Hm... Oh ya! Be sure to tell Nurse Joy at the pokemon center that it's your first time in one, ever! She's really nice and she'll even give you a potion to take with you just in case. But don't think you can pull that off more than one time. Sissy tried that and got a good scolding from Nurse Joy. Besides, it's not nice to try and take advantage of a pokemon center like that. Trainers already get free meals, a free room for the night if there's any left, and a free meal for being registered trainers. Trying to wriggle Nurse Joy out of potions is low. Don't make me tell you again!
... ... ... Wha--!? Crush on Nurse Joy!? No, no! You got it all wrong! I'm not even blushing! I'm just surprised you would even suggest that! I, I gotta go now! See ya!
