In the RP, you have the option to play as one of the following four species: Grand Noble, Noble, Intermediate, and X-Class.

Grand Nobles are the original genetically engineered masters of the system, reigning for as long as anyone can remember. They are unimaginably powerful, sporting super-human abilities, physique, intelligence, and so forth, each being unique. As if that were not enough, the Grand Nobles are effectively immortal. Death is a real possibility, but not through age. However, their numbers are few: only seven exist.

Nobles are the successors of the Grand Nobles. When the original Grand Nobles were developed, the Nobles were brought in to play as something of a "supporting" species to aid in the Grand Noble's exploits. They are something of a lesser race in comparison to the seven Grand Nobles, and all share the same power of at least a dozen of their fellow brethren. Make no mistake, though: the Nobles are not a force to be trifled with.

Intermediates are something of an evolutionary anomaly. When the original colonies were founded by the Grand Nobles, the non-noble human colonists that settled on the separate worlds were, more or less, left to their own devices as far as personal survival. While the Nobles built the small empires that would eventually flourish in the system, the average humans were left exposed in the wake of a foreign environment. Those who did not perish to the wiles and elements of the planets evolved, and eventually developed acute psychic abilities that mimicked the predominant biomes of their world.

X-Class are what remains of the former human race. While the Intermediates deviated from the unaltered path of evolution that mankind had taken up, the X-Class were the "weak" few that got lucky on their drastically different new worlds; the creatures that natural selection failed to wipe out. Over the millenia, instead of adopting psychic abilities, insane strength, and so on, the X-Class gained the power of intelligence and resourcefulness. Where the intermediates where stronger and faster, the X-Class were smarter and guileful. Nonetheless, their lack of predominant physical prowess throughout the species left them as the "dead-end" race, to be used for only the most dangerous and oppressive work as deemed by the Nobles and most powerful Intermediates.
