Personality: Hakurei seems to be a very calm person, not in a collected way, simply in a way that expresses little emotion. At least that's what one might think at first glance. While she may be shy for the first few minutes of a conversation, that might not last long. She is usually friendly to some point, although may chew your head off over small mistakes, making her seem slightly like a tsundere. Either way, she always gives one the spirit of support.

Biography: Hakurei was sent to the Rukongai shortly after her birth. She was raised there by a family in one of the upper districts where clothes were in fact abundant. Despite being a girl, she preferred more tomboyish clothing. All the same, her family made her wear clothing similar to a shrine maiden, which she altered back into a shirt and overalls. For her, the style worked, and she had no complaints. Hakurei often worked hard at jobs being done by others, supporting them the best she could. Her attitude eventually landed her in Shino Academy after several recommendations. She passed after a decade of attempts and began to befriend her zanpakuto. Although they had their own bouts, both her and her zanpakuto knew they were meant as friendly and they grew closer over the years.
Hakurei started out in the Fourth Division after her graduation. She was soon transferred to the Eight, then the Seventh, and finally the Sixth. Although it was only the first several of many changes in Divisions, she was happy to help. Now she simply goes where she is needed.
Family: Hakurei died too young to remember her family.

Shikai Abilities:
*Note* All of Hakurei's abilities can affect as many objects as seals she has to place upon them, however, this weakens the effect of the move and thus her techniques are less effective as a whole. All techniques may also be ended prematurely by removing the seal.
- Tamashīnohi - Hakurei flicks a talisman at an object and it then upon saying the name of this technique, the seal sets the connected object on fire. This flame will slowly burn through fabric and stone but can only cause heat upon metals. However, the heat can still cause it's own pain. This fire lasts for the entire time the seal is on the victim plus an extra three posts afterwards. However, the fire may be extinguished by the victim using their own Shikai or Bankai technique.
Jiraigen - Hakurei places seals around the battlefield that last for five posts or until detonation. At either five posts or detonation, the seals explode like a breach charge and cause massive damage to the area behind them (ex. If on the ground, they deal lots of damage in the direction of the sky). Although unreliable, it can allow Hakurei to manage her seals better as well as damage a foe. Each charge goes off one second apart. (3 post cool down)
Hasu- An ability designed for capturing a foe or simply crippling one. It requires at least 3 free seals to use. By tossing three on the ground, Hakurei readies an area for the technique. Then, if she so chooses, she can activate the seals which all sprout a mass of vines that attempt to ensnare everything in the area inside of a lush, verdant prison. With the use of a 4th seal, Hakurei may "finish" the technique and cause the area to flash and explode violently several times over. Adding more seals can increase the area, create more than one prison area, or simply increase the blast damage. This is the only move that defies her normal law of more seals=less power.

Hohō:
- Dashing: A most basic technique that allows the user to throw him/herself to a certain direction using a certain angle of which way the the stance is directed and executed. Based on an individual's atributes, dashing can be quite a moderately fast move instead of running. Also depending on the distance, dashing can be quite useful if in closer range to the opponent. This technique is basically for all ranks.
Shunpo (Flash-Step): A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. This technique requires a very high level of training, thus a most difficult one to obtain. One, who is of a high lieutenant ranking, must be able to possess Shunpo. Furthermore, it is a most fearsome mid-range/long-range speed known to be the exceeding ability than dashing. All in all, this ability can only be used by lieutenants and captains. For lieutenants it is nearly mastered, yet not perfected. Therefore, it is only of mid-range level 1. For captains Shunpo is of a level 2 maximum ability in which it is fully perfected for both mid-range and long-range.
Air Walk: Another skill, though not necessarily related, is the Soul Reaper ability to walk on air using spiritual energy. By collecting and solidifying spiritual particles beneath their feet, Soul Reapers can gain traction on thin air to either freely move about or to stop themselves from falling. This particular ability can only be obtained from officer level. Furthermore, it cannot necessarily be used every so often, especially for officers. It is an ability that can only be temporarily used but cannot last for a very long period of time. However, for lieutenants, they can stay on air for quite a bit longer and for captains, it can be held for quite a long while considering the great amount of riatsu within a captain ranking individual.
Utsusemi: This is one of the two, that Youruichi developed as well. It is the 4 ways of the Shihou through Shunpo which is also known as "Utsusemi". It's ability is a speed known to be so fast that the user leaves an afterimage of him/herself. Its affect is most absolute, superb, and flawless if ever fully perfected. And to be more specific, Utsusemi's speed is so fast, that the enemy can practically feel and touch the physical body of the afterimage and not even know the very fact that it is nothing more but an afterimage. Its very image can easily deceive the eyes of the enemy. This technique is very rare, thus few captains are able to possess such a flawless ability. Furthermore it is most lethal when combining Senka after Utsusemi is executed.

Contortionist Fighting - Hazama is an extremely flexible combatant, able to twist and fold his body like a contortionist mid fight. This makes him seem increasingly like a snake. Most of his fighting is done with violent, sharp kicks delivered at painful points along the body rather than straight up power.
Chain and Steel - Although not a master with his weapon, Hazama is greatly skilled with his weapon and shows it. To him, the Kusarigama is perfect and allows him to strike at a distance, from around corners, as well as block, leave gashing wounds or even capture an opponent.
Immunity - Hazama is immune to most poisons be it from living animals or his own zanpakuto. He is not, however, immune to other poisons delivered by other zanpakuto due to the fact said poisons are created by reiryoku and spiritual beings much more ancient than himself.
