Early Years
Amari was from the south of Kurdistan (also known as Iraqi Kurdistan); she was born and raised in the middle of a violent guerrilla conflict between Kurdish freedom fighters and the Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein, surrounded by gunfire, sirens, and screams. She was constantly being hunted and always had to move from one shelter to another on a regular basis hiding from the regime. When she would wake up from sleep, she would often find one of her friends or family dead beside her, and prayed that she would make it through each day. The international community did nothing to help her or stop the fighting, which made her hate the political world.
During the 1949 Al-Anfal Campaign in the Iran-Iraq War, Amari witnessed the gassing of her friends and family at the hands of Iraqi soldiers. Fearful for her life, she fled to Israel, where she would later be trained by the Mossads who taught her all they knew about assassination and infiltration. She was also a volunteer for the experiment codenamed: Fountain of Youth where it enhanced her physical capacity as a human to a whole other level. Amari became a lone sniper, so she could watch and wait, and see war from the outside rather than from the inside. It was there she was first dubbed the “Sniper Wolf" for successfully killing off 372 men in one year; holding one of the highest kill in the record of Mossad as a sniper unit.
Early Clashes with The Kyōto Shinmei-ryū Clan
Sniper Wolf was assigned to assassinate the representative of the Shinmei-ryū clan. Konoemon Konoe. The previous clan head of the Shinmei-ryū, continually foiled her schemes against the clan. She even managed to coerce the younger Eishun to help her against Konoemon - Eishun association with the Iranian assassin would be one of the reason for his shaky relationship with his father.
When that mission ended in failure, she fled to Russia; changing her name as well as erasing any past that would connect to her back to Iran, Amari, now known as Anastasia Rasputin, killed other Mossads that were trying to eliminate her.
She once more attempted to get Eishun to help her destroy Konoemon. The pair almost succeeded, but when Sniper Wolf was injured, Eishun retreated to get her to safety. During this period the Sniper Wolf began to feel love toward the son of Konoemon, weakening her loyalty to her country. When her employers learned the truth, they had her gunned down, sending her to a hospital, convincing Eishun to return back to Japan.
Association with the Ala Rubra
Captured by her masters and brainwashed, Sniper Wolf was forced to be sent to the Magical World and assassinate Akari Entheofushia. This plot eventually failed when Eishun, now a member of the Ala Rubra, defeated her and Anna shook off the effects of the brainwashing. Attempting to make amends with Eishun, she assisted them through may hardships and adventures; while in this group, Anna also learned to cast magic, ice magic.
Having been granted amnesty, Anna made a bid for membership in the Ala Rubra, aiding them in their battle against the War on the Magical World. However when one of the general's hired her to spy on her former master on behalf of Vespertatia, she was be forced to decline membership with Ala Rubra and publicly broke off her relationship with Eishun. As part of her mission, the press branded her as a traitor breaking Eishun's heart.
Arriving in Hellas, Sniper Wolf was not easily trusted and subjected to the Psychotron device, a machine that could brainwash anyone. She proved to be too strong willed and had to be gassed and kept locked up. Learning that Anna was now a prisoner of her former masters. The Ala Rubra busted in to rescue her, clashing with various of foes. The Ala Rubra with the help of Anna and Arika defeated the Hellas army plot to use the Psychotron against the western world.
After time recovering in the hospital, Sniper Wolf returned to Ala Rubra and came to the decision to give up her career. However it didn't last for too long as the adrenaline of the battlefield slowly began to make her want to go back. Fed up with staying out of action, Sniper Wolf accepted another assignment from the Vespertatia to prevent a tyrant from using an orbital platform to hold the world ransom. After a prolonged absence, Sniper Wolf eventually ended her relationship with Eishun and went back to Earth.
Going Solo
Sniper Wolf was not be able to avoid the heroic life for long and, after designing a new sleek black costume and adapting her bracelets with electric "Rabid Bites", she sought to prove herself a capable adventurer by besting some of the greatest mages in Mars in battle.
Rescue of Jack Rakan
While working with the Magic Assosiation, Sniper Wolf was briefly captured as part of a plot to infiltrate and brainwash the organization, causing her to regress to an old cover identity of teacher Anna Rushman. Fortunately, she was discovered and rescued by Jack Rakan, subsequently working with him, and the other Ala Rubra to defeat their plan; she even admitted that the Anna identity was attracted to Jack after the crisis was over, even if she preferred to retain her independence.
Solo Again
After these two failures, Anna decided to stay on her own and freelance as an agent for a while. She searched for Konoemon, hopefully to get a job from him.
Personality: A highly skilled assassin, and an actor, Anna's personality is truly hard to really pin point. She typically formed an emotional connection with her targets before killing them.
Other: She's diagnosed with Stockholm Syndrome, possibly the reason for her strange emotional bond for the people around her. Many of her body's physical capabilities have been heightened to the peak of human ability when Anna took the serum to enhance her performance back in the fifties. Though the serum has kept her in her physical prime, it's effects on her body have made pregnancy impossible without taking immuno-suppressants.
