~ "It's a new day Tiny and today we're on our way." David told the little ground type as he walked out of the city. He was done with sitting around with no competition. If competition didn't show itself then he'd go to it.
"Lar!" (Yeah!) Tiny cheered pointing off down the road.
"I'm telling you buddy we can finally find someone to battle and when we do we'll win." David was a little over confident. Maybe it had something to do with being a trainer for a while already. No, he knew he didn't cut it them but a lot had changed since then.
Looking around in the trees David's thoughts wandered to his sister.
'I wonder if I'll find her...' he thought before getting whacked in the head.
"Ouch... what was that for?" David question his pokemon as he rubbed his head.
"Lar larvitar!" (Look over there!) Tiny shouted as he pointed frantically in the direction of a Shroomish .
"Sweet a Shroomish, what do you say pal battle time?" he asked.
"Larvi!" (Let's go!) Tiny said jumping off of David's shoulder.
"Alright time to catch us pokemon number two." David said following his pokemon.
"Use Bite Tiny!" The little ground pokemon dove at the grass type only to miss entirely.
"Where'd he go?" Both David and Tiny were confused until suddenly a ton of seeds rained down on them.
"Tiny!" he rushed over and shielded his little pokemon. When the seeds stopped David looked up to see nothing the Shroomish was gone.
"La..." Larvitar felt back for failing.
"Don't worry about it Tiny I wasn't thinking." he told him.
"Come on there's more pokemon where he came from." Picking up the small pokemon David headed off down the trail. Not long after David noticed what looked like a panda.
"What is that?" David asked as he pulled out his pokedex.
"Pancham, the Playful Pokémon. It does its best to be taken seriously by its enemies, but its glare is not sufficiently intimidating. Chewing on a leaf is its trademark." "He's cool." David said with a smile.
"Let's not lose another chance again." he told Tiny as he let the small pokemon jump down and get ready to battle.
"Sandstorm." he called out. Tiny covered the place in sand and as the storm went along he wouldn't have to worry about his pokemon having to avoid attacks. The Pancham went barreling towards Tiny and David happily answered.
"Counter with Screech." he told him small pokemon. Tiny cried out pushing the fighting type back as it tried to tackle him.
Once the cry stopped Pancham went at Tiny arms flailing.
"Dodge it and use Bite!" David called out. Tiny moved to the side and went for bear pokemon's arm, biting down hard. Pancham cried out but despite the pain went to hitting Larvitar with his free arm.
"Get behind him and use Bite." he called out. Tiny fought back jumping behind the fighting type and biting down on him. Pancham, in turn flailed about with concern. As it went towards a tree David saw his shot.
"Let go and jump now!" he shouted. Just in time to collide with the tree Tiny got off and Pancham collided with the tree falling backwards.
Tossing a pokeball at the fighting type, David held his breath waiting for that all too familiar ding that said, he'd won...
