This is the place that the plants and pokemon from the Nursery/Hatchery are reintroduced to once they are big enough to survive on their own.

A large, extensive forest that stretches for many miles around the city. The pokemon here aren't the least bit afraid of humans, and will walk right up to you if it so pleases them. Every last square inch of the place is owned by the Pendant City Conservation Program.

Amal smiled as pokemon came readily up. "Take them all," he commanded, pulling up a white pokeball with a black sun painted on its top. With a swing of his wrist, he took the larvesta into the dark pokeball. "If the boss wants an army to usher in the night, the Dusk will answer," He called out. "Get the ones with potential first, the boss will want to look them over. And after the quota... Give yourselves a treat," He smiled, charming and handsome while others grinned and went about collecting, the same as him. "No one hides from shadows," He sighed in a whisper. "Who should I snag-up next? Pinco? Scizor? Vespiqueen? So many pokemon, so little time." He pulled up another black sun poeball. She cackled and smiled, taking the whole thing as a joke and looking at the pair of rangers out cold after coming up against them. And his day would have been a most happy one if something hadn't caught his leg: a caterpi, small and angry, using stringshot on him. "Get away you weakling!" He kicked it with his free leg like a child to a ball. "You're not even worth taking."

"Something's not right," Dune said. "The brochure said that this place is crawling with bug type pokemon, and that they're really friendly. But I haven't seen a singe one of them."

"Huh?" Lydia blinked. "Maybe something really is wrong then..." She looked up at the trees. It didn't feel like Illusion Forest. But the familiarity of no pokemon sent a chill past her. "M-maybe we should get officer Jenny," She stareted to get worried.

"Not only that, but where are the rangers? Don't the have routine of patrol for this area?" Dune wasn't helping. But he was right, and he was serious. "If something happened, they'd of radioed Jenny and she'd have blocked it off."

Again, there was a pause. "But if something is wrong, and they didn't radio her..." Lydia took in a big gulp. Again, it was quiet. Then it started to get loud. Really loud. And they started to run at it, into the scene of something horrible: the pokemon under protection were now under attack! And a pair of rangers were tied up and unable to help! "Hey! What do you think you're doing!?"

"Leave those pokemon alone!" Dune cried.

Amal looked up, and smiled as if to greet them into his home. "Children," He said in a calm and pleasing way. "Time to go now. You don't want to get involved, believe me."

"Why don't you make us?" Dune said back, angry at the sight. "Just you and me. Let's dance pretty boy."

"Dune! What are you doing!?" Lydia scolded lowly.

"This will be a great warm up before my gym battle." He raised up a pokeball.

Amal smirked, shaking his head. "Very well." He tossed out his pokemon: Toxicroak, Ariados, and Houndoom. "Three on three children."

"Count me in!" Lydia stepped up.

"Time to try this on: I choose Moltres!" Dune called out his zorua.

Lydia looked at him a moment. But nodded after. "Knight, let's go!" She called out her own zorua.

Adam Angeal de la Tierra

I don't have big dreams, I have big goals!

Adam arrived to the park with Lydia and Dune. According to Dune, this park was supposed to be filled with Bug-type Pokemon yet there was none in sight. In fact, for a park this entire place was empty which made it very strange. "Maybe today is a special day? Like some kind of Bug Catching Contest?" He remembered reading about contests where bug Pokemon were caught and whoever captured the best bug Pokemon would win. He really was just throwing a random suggestion out there, but at this moment anything could go. Lydia was growing nervous about the situation and Adam really wanted to reassure her that everything was okay, but every time he tried his mouth would dry up and he would start blushing. He was really bad with girls.

A loud noise caught their attention and they started running towards the source of the noise. Spitfire and Gastly followed right after him clearly sensing the danger that they were approaching. Finally they reached the source and Adam's eyes widen at the sight before him. There was a man ordering people to attack the Bug-type Pokemon and there were two rangers tied up. Adam glared at the man, he was hurting the Pokemon! "Stop that! Leave these Pokemon alone immediately!" Spitfire and Gastly nodded entering a battle stance. Dune looked like he was ready to fight these people and Adam got ready as well. The man suddenly send three of his Pokemon at them and they looked really strong. All he had was Spitfire with him so that would be his partner for this battle. "Spitfire use Yawn!" Tepig opened his mouth wide and released a clear bubble which was heading towards the three Pokemon hoping to hit at least one of them. The best offense was a good defense, if Tepig could cause one of the Pokemon to fall asleep then their chances of winning would increase. He wondered what kind of moves Dune and Lydia would be using. Apparently Dune was calling out a Pokemon named Moltres like the legendary bird.

"Moltres, use leer!"

"Knight, use leer!" The two called in sync.

Amal smirked again when he saw the pick of pokemon for these "rebels". "Toxicroak, take care of them all, yes?" He leisurely suggested. With great hast, the poison pokemon leaped over, starting first with tepig, then over to zorua and the other zorua. A single hit knock out went to them.

"Moltres, no!" Dune ran over.

"Knight, are you okay?" Lydia did the same. "There's no way we can take him down, even if we all attacked at the same time," Lydia sweated.

"Normally, I wouldn't bother with weak pokemon," Amal said insultingly. "But zorua are a rare find in any region." He held up a black-sun pokeball.

"There is no way you're taking my Moltres!" Dune called out defiantly.

"Especially not after what we went through to catch them!" Lydia backed him up.

"That's alright. If you won't hand them over, I'll pluck them off of you after you've been to hell," He smirked. "Ariados, spiderweb." The bug-type launched a sticky net to trap them. "Houdoom, overheat the forest and make sure they don't follow us anymore," The dog-like pokemon released a flame from its mouth, starting a wild fire. "Have fun children." He walked away.

And peering in from afar was even more mischief. "He certainly took care of those little pains quickly enough," Madison awed.
"Maybe his pokemon are in need of a little liberating?" Chris smirked, and the two snickered from their hiding place.

"No good!" Lydia struggled in the stickiness of the web. "We'll be burned alive!"

"There's no way I'm gonna let that happen," Dune struggled to get another pokeball. "Go Entei!" He called out his totodile. "Entei, use your water gun to put out the fire," He said in a serious way. The little water type went right to work, but the fire had spread out quickly. "That fire is too strong for just one pokemon!" He realized, and struggled to find his other pokeballs.

"That gives me an idea!" Lydia fought to find her own pokemon, "Stretch! Transform into totodile!" She called out her ditto, eager to transform again. "Now help it out and use your water gun too!"

"Latios! We need your sand tomb to put out the fire!" Dune finally reached his trapinch.

Evangeline Zegale

"Dustox, use sludge bomb to put out the fire and Butterfree smother it with psychic," Evangeline called out her pokemon, rushing into the scene of the fire. Ghost types followed her, as they usually did. and Gengar had flown out to remove the webs from the kids caught in them while its frostlass companion spat out ice to cool the flames around the rangers. With the help of five pokemon all together, the flames were dispatched. "Are you kids hurt?" She knelled down, a mother herself and having worried at the sight. "What were you three even doing out here?" She looked to each of them.

"We're sorry ma'am..." One of the rangers came up, cradling his arm. "We let them get away..."

"We can apologize later. Right now, these pokemon and this reserve is in danger, and we need to stop it." She went to stand again.

"They... They took her. They took my Mismagius and Blake's umbreon! And then they started to capture the bug types in the reserve..."

"What...!?" Evangeline began to worry. "I can't let this happen, not after all the work I put into bringing back the environment around here. Those pokemon... They're like my own children! I won't let my husband's work, Annie's work, or my own work be for nothing because of people like this!"

"But they way they used their pokemon... It was like all their rage was being built up and released. I've never seen such raw power..."

"Regardless, as the gymleader, it's my responsibility to protect the city with every part of my being. And they've never seen my power." Evangeline scouted around, a bitter taste in her mouth. "Catching pokemon is strictly prohibited in this reserve after what happened that day..." A banette rose through the ground, almost leering to grab Evangeline's attention. "Banette, did you find them?" The ghost nodded. "Lead on then. "Landon, I want you to take these kids back and tell officer Jenny they're north-bound in the reserve." The ranger nodded, and watched as the pink woman dashed off in pursuit.

Adam Angeal de la Tierra

I don't have big dreams, I have big goals!

Adam gasped when he saw Toxicroak leaped at all three of their Pokemon, his attack completely ignored. They were all taken down effortlessly. Adam tried to go after his Tepig, but he was stopped by Ariados's Spiderweb attack. Along with Dune and Lydia, he was stuck in the sticky webs and no matter how much he struggle, he couldn't move. Gastly flew towards him and attempted to bite of the sticky nets, but even that would take some time. Their time was cut even shorter by the man's Houndoom using Overheat to set the park on fire. Adam started coughing from the smell of the smoke and the sweating from the heat. He knew that Tepig would be fine because he was a Fire-type Pokemon, but Gastly would not be so lucky. "Gastly, you need to leave! Otherwise the fire will get you too!" Gastly shook his head vigorously and continued to try and help him escape. Adam closed his eyes to shield his vision from the intense flames.

He took a peek when he started hearing Dune and Lydia's struggle. They were using their other Pokemon to put out the fire. Dune had a Totodile and Lydia had a Ditto that transformed into a Totodile. They were trying to put the fire out, but their water attacks were not strong enough to stop the park fire. Adam wish he could assist them somehow, but he didn't have any Water-type Pokemon with him. The only Pokemon he had was Spitfire. He felt useless, everyone was trying so hard, but he couldn't do one single thing.

Suddenly, they were saved by a woman who used the combine strength of her Pokemon to put out the fire while releasing them from the webs. Adam quickly rushed over to his Tepig, Spitfire, and picked him up in his arms. He just finished being healed yesterday and now he was hurt again. Spitfire slowly awake and looked up at him with a small smile; he was still hurt and very unlikely that he would be participating in any battles for the moment. "You need to rest, Spitfire..." he returned his Pokemon to his Pokeball and then looked back at the woman who was talking with the rangers that were previously tied up. "T-Thank you ma'am!" Adam bowed respectively. Gastly noticed the many Ghost-type Pokemon that were starting to appear. He smiled happy to see fellow ghosts Pokemon. He tried to talk to them, but they were too busy. Adam saw the woman running, probably going after the man who set the park on fire. "W-Wait!" Adam called out, but it was too later. He turned to Dune and Lydia, "what should we do?"

Dune and Lydia both looked up as some savior came to free them. It was a pretty woman, with long pink hair and both ghost and bug types with her to help rescue them and put out the blaze. Their failed attempt at trying to be heroes had caused this woman and the rangers time, invaluable time! They only caused more trouble for what turned out to be the gym leader. Still, at the mention of that title, the two awed a bit. She wasn't this massive figure like they had envisioned; she was still very pretty and young, and kind. She took her job seriously, but she still had a gentle voice. It was hard to imagine her being a terror in a pokemon battle. "No, we're fine," Lydia said while Dune locked up again in the presence of a pretty girl. And as the injured Ranger was instructed to take them back with their hurt pokemon, Lydia felt shame, and Dune had a serious ego blow. In the end, they were still just kids. "We're sorry..." Lydia apologized.

"We thought we could help stop them from hurting the pokemon..." Dune hung his head low. "But we only made a big mess..."

Lydia held tight to her zorua. "We'll go back... Knight is in pain, and he needs treatment!" Sobbing resonated in her voice.

"Amal, we've run out of room on the trucks," A dusk member said.

"Then let's go. Why are we waiting around?" Amal gave an annoyed tone to his comrade.

"I thought this darkness was brought by Team Dusk," A woman's voice echoed down. Up in the trees, on a high branch, a white robbed woman stood with a sunrise emblem sewn on. "In the name of Lucian Nuriel, the Lord of the Dawn, I will cast you into the light! Repent your dark and sinister ways, or suffer the Dawn's judgement upon you!"

Amal looked up, giving a pleasant and charming smile. "Dear sweat beauty, I don't believe we've met," He said with a laughing tone in his greeting, pooring on charm as he usually did to squander women. "My name is Amal Moo--"

"I know very well who you are," She called down. "And for your crimes against the light and the hearts of pokemon and people alike, you will receive no mercy."

Amal stopped and frowned. "Very well. We'll do this the hard way."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Chris and Madison peered out from the bush. "What do you think's got them all riled up?" Chris blinked.
"Looks pretty intense," Madison squinted. "Opposite teams maybe--but whoever they are, they hate each other."
"Looks like the prime opportunity to liberate some pokemon," Chris smirked, and the trio snicked together as they crept away.

"Slowking! Let us drag the servants of the night back into the sun!" The woman called out her pokemon.

"Ha! Now I remember you! You're that little orphan girl in Team Dawn. Solara, right?" Amal teased. "You can't imagine how long I've wanted this battle to take you down a peg! Ariados! Spiderweb!" Amal cried out.

"Disable it!" Solara called in the nick of time.

Amal cringed his teeth, "Fine. Then I'm taking it up a notch..." He growled lowly. "Ariados, bring down that tree with psychic!" He roared. Solara gasped, unable to get away as psychic too hold and slowly ripped the tree from the earth to crash down. And quick to react was slowking and waterpulse to cushion her fall. "Poison jab!" Amal called, ariados crawling in quickly to stick the attack right in slowking's back. "Smog houndoom!" the dog pokemon released a black cloud cover to poison the air around the opposing woman. "See ya around Solara!" Amal laughed in his escape. Though... he'd find it'd be for not. His prize was stolen while his back was turned.

"Woohoo!" The trio cheered. "We're going back on the top with a haul like this! Raises! Big bonuses! More Vacation days! Early retirement! Here we come!" They looked at the caged catch of bugs, illgotten from an illgetter. "It worked like a charm." Aiiiipom pom!

Adam glanced at Dune and Lydia both of them were very upset and it was very clear on their faces. Lydia was sobbing and seeing her look so hurt made his chest ache. Looking at Dune he saw the disappointment clear in his face and his chest hurt more. Those two were so lively and energetic in the beginning; it was fun to see them have friendly fights. They were feeling hurt as if the pain their Pokemon endured was something they felt clearly, but how did he feel? His chest ached, but he knew that he was fine. Spitfire was hurt and thinking about that increased his pain, but there was a certain numbness about his pain. He watched Dune and Lydia and felt like his own worries were not as great. He wanted them to return to their cheerful selves.

He walked over to them. He was clearly shorter than Dune and only slightly shorter than Lydia; he was still growing after all. It would be some time before he passed any of them. "Let's go," Adam spoke with a slight deeper voice than his normal tone. His voice was still changing and something it would grow deeper while other times it would be soft.

Evangeline raced over behind the ghostly forest guardians to whatever disaster awaited. That's when a cloud of smog filled the forest, and she'd run strait into it. Coughing and gasping for air, she hurried to let out a command while she still had some breath. "Volcarona --cough cough silverwind!" Letting out her strongest and newly evolved bug type, she coughed and gasped in the wait for the smog to clear off. At once the ghosts and bugs in her company flew back to check on their friend. "I'm fine. Let's get back to finding who's responsible for all this." She said, though bannette glided off in the middle of her words over to a fallen slowking and its trainer. Baaaanette?

Evangeline walked over. "Pokemon battles are prohibited" She frowned, looking at the slowking's condition. "Are you the one responsible for the disturbances in my Pokemon Reserve? Answer!" She was furious. And though sceptical of a single person's action making such a fuss, she couldn't rule it out just yet.

Solara was sore, and struggled to stand when another "foe" came to her. "Disturbances?" She repeated. "You're looking for trainers who abuse the power of pokemon. Team Dusk." She explained further, "That syndicate uses the power of dark, poison, and ghost pokemon to seal off a pokemon's heart to the light, and bring only hate and rage to exploit power." She stopped a moment and turned to the woman. "And so it is left to us to usher in the light. The Dawn will cast them out!" She made her stance clear. "I suspect they were looking for pokemon like your volcarona. powerful pokemon to further exploit into darkness. Be weary of them." She limped off, recalling her pokemon. She was in no condition to pursue Amal, or anyone for that matter, but she was determined to carry out Team Dawn's mission: to stop the dusk at all costs.
